Learned a Few Things about the KJ Today
Hm. Not actually sure when my light comes on, I immediately start looking for a gas station. My 'Miles to Empty' display reads 0 by the time the light comes on, and I've not thought it wise to tempt it into proving itself right. :icon_lol: I think it usually takes about 18 gallons to fill...- nullptr

nullptr's 2005 Liberty
Started, finally, replacing the 'blown' speakers. Turns out they weren't blown, and someone at some point had 'upgraded' the stereo. If you count replacing the front midrange speakers with Dual 6.5" 50w RMS speakers an upgrade over the stock Infinity units, sure. Sadly, they really botched...- nullptr

WeatherTech is the only way to go. Although I recommend the Jeep branded liner for the cargo area, as it's got cargo tiedown knockouts and is actually cheaper than the WeatherTech one. I've got the slate ones, it's gray.- nullptr

At first I thought it might be a problem with the fan, since it worked fine when moving, but then I tried revving while the vehicle was stopped. Front springs shot. What to use?
If the springs are shot, the shocks probably are too. Don't use XJ springs, they won't work. The XJ had a solid front axle whereas the KJ is an independent suspension in the front, the XJ springs simply will not fit and are the wrong length. That makes sense. Mopar also had a modified Cherokee Trailhawk rolling on 33s. I got all excited for it, but so far they haven't released the kit and it sounds like they have no plans too. Why must they play with our feelings like that? :happy175: And don't worry about it, I wasn't exactly... -
Is this a Trac Lok?
Looks like an open differential to me. Was Trac-Loc available on the 06? I thought they eliminated it and went with a braking-controlled traction system where it just applies brakes on the spinning wheel for that year?- nullptr

2015 Renegade?
Is someone still working on it? Last I heard the various companies had given up and said, "The front end on this thing is horrible for lifts, it'd be too expensive to do right". If someone does come out with something, that'd be awesome. -

Thanks! I'm quite happy with it, even if it did immediately require a radiator and ball joints. But what can you expect at 10 years old? Me too! I got it at the dealer, cost was the same as the Weathertech, but it has little 'hatches' for the cargo tie-downs and says 'Jeep' on it. :icon_lol:- nullptr
