e-rad fan wires really hot
Are the fan blades hard to turn by hand? Kind of sounds like the motor may be drawing too much power, maybe due to the bearings going bad. If the blades don't turn freely, that's probably it.- nullptr

Well I've joined the window regulator replacement club
Interesting find on those Ebay units. Anyone actually use them? Im trying to find a list of differences between MY for the 2002-2007 KJ
My 05 doesn't have ESP or TC either. I thought I remembered reading somewhere that it was a mid-year thing, but I could be wrong. I do not know if Posi was available on the 05, mine doesn't have it. :( '05 is best year! :)- nullptr

Exhaust/oil smell in cabin when engine gets up to temperature
^^^ This The air inlet for the cab is on the passenger side at the top of the engine bay, so when the back-side passenger side of the valve cover starts leaking, you get oil smells.- nullptr

What did you do to your jeep today?
Finished installing the amplifier and running all wires to the doors and head unit, re-installed the center console and man-handled the rear seat back into position. Was a little worried as, once I got it loose, it turned out to be a two-piece rear and one of the tabs bent. A little elbow grease...- nullptr

K&N filter and Oil question
General feeling on the forums is that the K&N filter does more harm than good. Little to no improvement with a big reduction in small particulate capture, it tends to let more fine grained dust through. Typically people just run paper filters. Mid year 05 is when the ESP was added, from what I recall. There were also some electrical changes, the tire pressure monitoring system became more advanced in 05 and no longer required individual reprogramming using magnets.- nullptr

Back to installing speakers. Driver's side front is in, cable is run for the passenger side, just need to get that stupid accordian thing back on the plastic clippy thing... Those are, I believe, the technical terms.- nullptr

Quite simple. There are 4 screws holding it in, really. Two at the bottom of the storage cubby, one beneath the shifter trim, one beneath the 4x4 boot. Make sure to pop the trim panel on the backside where the rear window controls are so you can disconnect the wiring harness. It just clips in...- nullptr

Running hot lately, dash temp guage climbing on hills
White exhaust at startup until warmup isn't something to really worry about, especially if it's cooler out. The water (at least a small amount) dripping from the exhaust was probably just condensation, also, water is actually a by-product of hydrocarbon combustion, in small amounts. If you get...- nullptr

Firewall Access with Manual Transmission
Yeah mine had a plastic plug in it as well, with some sealant over it. Ended up using a wooden dowel to pop it out (it released from the engine bay and it's impossible to reach), drilled a hole in it just smaller than the 8ga wire I was using, and popped it back in. A little RTV on the wire... -
