I do have a couple of cousins that drive Dodge diesels. The rest of the family are primarily Chevy. My brother is a Vette and Camaro nut. He has a 04 Z06 vette that is pretty sweet. He just sold his first car that he had for 32 years a 62 Impala SS.- MarkB

Thanks!! I understand. GMs are not for everyone. I know them inside and out, my dad was a GM service manager for 41 years. He worked at the same dealership for 46 1/2 years. Yes I am the blacksheep of our family.- MarkB

Easy now!! I personally like most of the new Mopar vehicles. I have been a devoted GM man for 28 years of driving. I have also had a Suzuki and a Toyota mixed in an 3 Honda motocycles. Total vehicles for me and the wife and kids are exceeding the 30 mark. I have made the comment several...- MarkB

Red Rock 4x2 with pebble interior Sirius with 6 disc changer. Put close to 400 miles on it Friday. We love it. Completely different ride from the KJ.- MarkB

There are a lot of similarities between the two. There are some differences too. Not sure, is the suspension different? The salesman got plenty ticked when I called it a re-badged Nitro.- MarkB

The new tranny didn't fix it. They didn't even ask me to try it. Service Manager said he didn't even get 1/2 mile away from the dealership before it started jerking. The Service Manager has turned it over to the District Service Rep. I am supposed to talk with him on Monday. We'll see.- MarkB

Yes, we have the lemon law. This is the 5th trip but, only the 4th repair order since they left one of the ROs open for 2 trips. Our lemon law is 4 unsuccessful attempts for the same problem during the warranty period. This is the final one. I hope it will be fixed but, if not I do like the 08s.- MarkB

I did get a call from the service manager on Monday. He said he wasn't getting much support from engineering with a fix. He told me he was ordering a NEW complete tranny assembly from Jeep. Hopefully they will get it installed before the weekend so I can give it the true test. I will keep...- MarkB

Well the dealer sent a truck to pick it up today. They are going to get the Chrysler service rep to make a call on what to do. Hopefully they will get a resolution one way or the other.- MarkB

That's the deal. This re-designed converter required a complete new program. When it was doing this with the old converter, engineering was going to re-write the software and realized the new software wasn't compatible with the old converter. Then we had to wait on the new converter to arrive...- MarkB

Transfluid addons and cleaners
The old saying goes. The best oil additive is fresh oil, so i would say the best tranny additive if any is fresh tranny fluid. IMO- MarkB

No codes or any lights. The problem has worsened with the replaced converter. It feels like a miss but, could very well be a shutter from the converter not locking solid. With the original converter it was only noticable between 35 and 40 or until it shifted to overdrive. Once the converter...- MarkB

The first trip to the dealer. Service actually told me it was random mis-firing on 1,3,6. This was at 1,306 miles. They told me I got some bad gas and that they replaced the spark plugs and added some fuel treatment. I wasn't born yesterday! Bad gas does not differentiate between cylinders...- MarkB
