    TPMS(tire pressure monintoring system)

While we are discussing TPMSs, I/ve heard some of you talk about it telling you which tire was low (front right, etc..) Mine only shows the symbol on the dash, as I have no overhead display. Also, if it does show which tire is low, what happens when you have the tires rotated? Do you need...

    Trailer Hitch

I don't know what you are planning on towing, but a good point was made a while back on another towing thread. When I bought my my 2" recever hitch, I thought I was getting a "Class III". The uni-body has 3 holes per side, yet my hitch only uses the rear most two. Somone pointed out that if...

    Tire size change

Ah, the good old days ... when a 30x9.50 was roughly that, about 30" tall by 9-1/2" wide no matter what size rim it was monted on. Then we went "global" and tire sizes in the P/LT-metric world get a bit tricky. As mentioned earlier, a 225/75-16 is about 1" taller than a 225/70-16, as only...

    AC pulley??

True, but I would also NOT hook the clutch wire up - just to make sure. Tell the shop you didn't, just so they don't start replacing the preasure switch and such... UK

    Rear Shelf Height Problem

Coleman 25Qt Party Stackable Cooler. I saw these at the store about a month or so ago. If I remember right, it wasn't that deep. Just enough for a pop-can and some ice. Almost bought one as I have the retractable "privacy cover" in the rear and my old Ice chest just won't quite fit...

Pics of my Ram brush guard

Ryan, That was a factory offering in the 2006 accesories catalogue. It came in either chome or black. "brush guarrd" applies if you are trying to protect against the occasional tooth "brush", but I would have liked to seen, at minimum, a full width (side-to-side) 2" bar where the cross...

    Wiring my hella 500

The bar looks GREAT! And it clears the factory driving lights too! It doesn't look like it lined up with the factory Renegade light mounts, but were you still able to catch a fair amount of metal to mount the bar to? I still haven't talked my wife into letting pull the front off her...

    Lightbar & headlights question

Maybe they fixed them on the '05-'06, but the stock headlights on my '06 are some of the best I've had on any vehicle. Add to that the factory driving lights (the small ones in the grill) and I couldn't ask for more (without geting pulled over). There are several options for replacement...

HOW TO: change serpentine drive belt (3.7L)

I don't know about your bypass option, but unless your problem has to do with the AC clutch freezing up, you should be able to drive the vehicle by simply disconecting the wire that goes to the clutch on the AC unit. With the wire disconnected, the belt and pulley on the AC unit should rotate...

    HOW TO: Remove Front Bumper

I have a PDF from Blue Ox tow bars I'd be happy to send you. Drop me an E-mail at [email protected] and I'll send it to you. It shows an 05-06. I would attach it here, but the file size is too large.

    Window Regulator

Count me in for 3 on the driver's rear, 2 on the passenger's rear, at 50,000 on an '06 Limited. I finally had them give me the last broken one. I figure I have about 10,000 miles to figure out a way to repair it - for good. UK

Cool but rather exspensive vehicle recovery gear.

Definitley the OVERKILL item of the year. I'm with POWERSLAVE. 1 Good reciver minus the ball. 1 Good "D" shackle You should ALREADY have the strap - doesn't everybody? Put the remaining $100 towards a front mounted reciever so you can pull from either end (I don't get stuck...

    Turkey 1 Jeep 0

That picture brings back memories... My wife had the windshiled in her '86 Nissan PU replaced due to a rock fracture that had spread. Less than a month later she was driving down the road when she spooked a vulture engoying some roadkill. Impact was at the rear veiw mirror. She...

LTT True Cold Air Intake for KJ's

I like LTT's idea, and for a simple CAI it is just the ticket. good job! I live in AZ:cool:, and trust me, I have seen and played the CAI game before. My first outing was with a '69 Ranchero. It had a bit of a problem with vapor locking. My fix was to turn the air cleaner so the snorkle...

Gotta have some window regulator stuff...

Not Again!!!!!!!! From what I've heard - let alone experienced, the rear window regulators are JUNK! I have an 06 Limited and have replaced the passenger side once. It's scheduled to go in tomorrow to have the drivers side replaced for the 4th time!    My wife...

    Yes, a Soft 8 Q.

Your 265/70/17 size is roughly a 31.5/10.4/17 with about 7.3 inches of sidewall height. For comparrison, dropping to the 15 in rim, with the 30 inch tires you said you ordered, will drop the overall tire diameter 1.5 inches, yet actually increase you sidewall to 7.5" (30-15 divided by 2)...
