Liberty On Sand Problems with Starter
From back in my boating days... Marine starters are sealed and are expensive for that reason. A popular sub is to take a standard automotive starter and seal it with an automotive silicone sealant, like Permatex. Maybe you could try that on your next replacement starter.- rdonn

Strange sound from rear wheels
1) This problem I've had before with several vehicles. I was told that when it sits overnight there is a light film of surface rust that forms on the rotors and the pads if they are metallic. This is normal and harmless. I have found the ceramic pads to be of some help. 2) I agree with 2003KJ...- rdonn

Stock tire rubbing with 2.5" coil lift
UPDATE: I got it aligned today and, though It seemed to drive good, the tow in was way off. It doesn't rub now but there is only about an inch of clearance between the tire and the sway bar on the driver's side. I will get the Revos installed in a couple of days and hopefully they won't rub...- rdonn

Replacement Speakers???
I read the speaker replacement thread, too. What I'm not clear on is this: 1. Can you use aftermarket speakers and connect OE amps? 2. Can you use aftermarket speakers and aftermarket amp powered by OE radio? I like the in dash 6 disc changer and steering wheel controls of the factory system.- rdonn

Well, finally got the van back... $935 later and good as new. I just kept thinking all week how glad I am they didn't try to take the KJ. Now, back to work on the KJ. I found a place that does alignment for $49.95. If it still rubs the sway bar with the stock tires it will surely rub with...- rdonn

Unarmed because I don't typically carry every time I go to the front door... never had this happen before. The Libby drives great. You wouldn't even think it needs an alignment, except for the rubbing at full lock. As for the Ins. Co... I found out I have $1K deductible, so I don't think I...- rdonn

Yes, they are the stock 17s that come on the Limited. Is that another reason you don't see many 17s? I thought it was just the availability of the tire sizes. What about wheel spacers?- rdonn

No, I haven't had the alignment yet. I just put a couple hundred miles on it and re-torqued everything. I did not remove or move the brake lines during the install. Maybe I should loosen it and retighten it.- rdonn

Big "KLUNK" and the window quit working..Happen to you ??
My drivers window was going up crooked, then would straighten up near the top. I took it to dealer before it broke completely. They replaced the regulator. About 2 weeks later I was raising the window and when it got to the top there was a loud grinding noise and the glass fell into the door but...- rdonn
