Cool! Does anyone have an SWR meter they can bring (Corwyyn, I'm looking at you...)? I just got the little Midland CB (75-822) and a mag mount antenna and I'm wondering how bad it is, transmission-wise. Reception is more than acceptable for my purposes.
Thanks in advance,
Russ
I don't have anything on the calendar. Wasn't there going to be something on the 23rd?
I've still never done Martinez Cabin, or any of those trails in there between Florence and Superior.
We could try Chimney Rock over by Reddington Pass. I've never done that. Wells lists it as pretty...
After much discussion and planning of alternatives, we're going to go ahead and hotel it with you guys for all four nights, so yes, please, grab us a room as well. We probably won't be doing Toroweap, but can find something to do for that day - maybe try to get a walk-in permit for The Wave...
We're in! Especially if Willis Creek is on the itinerary.
Toroweap is pretty bad for cliff-o-phobes. Our mantra is RESPECT THE EDGE, and it applies doubly there. There are spots where you can be on a rock, and both in front of you and behind you is a precipitous drop. Don't reframe...
Are you in on the Sunday Table Mesa run Kevin? I couldn't really tell.
I don't know about the Montana Mountain run yet. We'll probably make up our minds at the last minute.
UPDATE: Yes, we're going to do the Montana Mountain run as well.

Selec-Trac was part of option package 29G on the Limiteds along with leather seats, overhead console and the Infinity speakers. At least for '06. I have it, but I have no idea of its prevalence in the market.
For what it's worth,

We're in, we'll go with you. The campground in Arches still has plenty of sites available, we reserved from 3/29 through 4/4.
We are probably interested in Silverton/Ouray '08.
Maybe Canyon De Chelly in the fall sometime? We've never done that.

Ya know, now that I look at these...
It wasn't very difficult. I think the turnoff to the big sinkhole (the Devil's Living Room? Devil's Kitchen? Devil's Garage? One of the Devil's rooms) is the hardest thing, there's a tight turn between two trees and a steep steppy thing. Should be easily navigable stock with skid plates...
Not too bad. We did pull over at the top of the steps to let two rock crawlers past us...
...so we could take our time, and even then by the time I was going down there was a Pink Jeep coming down behind me that you can see in Casey's first picture. We were the only ones at Chicken Point...
Yes, those are Goodyear MT/R's on the Wrangler Rubicon wheels - I really like the look of those wheels. You can often find them gently used, I got mine out at ALLJ when they did the lift.
AJ - I'm thinking a lift would be required. It's not a difficult trail technically, but it does need...
