jeep cargo basket question - will this fit? >>

If you look at the mopar website for jeep accessories: (http://www.mopar.com/m_acc_cat_part.jsp) it says that there is one available I pulled this description from there. It looks like it needs a special bolt kit to do it, but this might work for you. 82209125 Racks & Carriers...

HD engine cooling for '07 Latitude

Nah I would still believe that your OK. I haven't seen my temp gage move ever when pulling a trailer. I don't normally pull less then 3000 lbs too often, so I still think your OK. If you want it as a backup like jeepster said, its going to cost a good bit of money probably to have added...

HD engine cooling for '07 Latitude

Me myself, I wouldn't even worry about the heavy duty cooling. My 05 does not have the heavy duty cooling, and I have no problems, even in the 3000 to 4000 lb range in hilly areas. You may want to consider a brake controller, but I don't know if your trailer is equiped or not. As for the...

    Swapping Gears

Yes you will need to change both front and rear if your going to swap gear ratios. Otherwise you will be turning the front and rear at two different speeds which will bust stuff up if it even moves.

    Hitch lbs

No, there are nuts welded from the inside of the frame rail, or clips I can't remember. But they are plenty tough, I am not worried about it comin loose.

    Hitch lbs

If I recall when I installed mine, it wasn't overly heavy. Maybe in the neighborhood of 30-35 lbs. Real easy to install. Good luck

    power windows

I guess there could be something better. That is what I use on mine, without any major problem. I just use some trigger control and send it pretty light out through the little red nozzle. I usually roll down the window, then squirt it in the front and rear track, then take the window up and...

    power windows

Put some WD-40 or some oil in the rubbers where the window slides up. The noise you are hearing is the power window belt slipping on the gear. I had mine replaced twice, at least its no more noise now, I only had it fixed because I didn't want to be stuck somewhere with the window down when it...

Adding Tow Package / HD Cooling Question

No problem for the comments. We got a white one ourselves, just liked that color better for some reason. As far as the hitch and wiring installation, it really is a piece of cake to do. If you have any questions about it, you can hit me up, I completed the whole job in about an hour.

Adding Tow Package / HD Cooling Question

The 7 pin wiring will run about 160 bucks, and the hitch will run about 160 bucks. A decent brake controller will run about 50-80 bucks, plus installation. I have pulled 4 atvs on the back of my jeep, two utes and two sports without any major issue what so ever. I have the 7 pin wiring, but...

    Full body repaint

I would say your are looking in the neighborhood of 3-5 thousand bucks to get that job taken care of. Not to mention probably a week or two in the shop. My dad has a body shop, but he will shun away a full body repaint 90 percent of the time because of the amount of work invovled with removing...

    i need a swing gate

I am not sure where exactly you are in NE PA, but you can check wiht Kressley's Auto Parts or Harry's U pull it, they are both in Hazelton. Other then that, I can't think of any other places at the moment, but a 600 dollar estimate to replace the rear gate, sounds way to cheap. The insurance...

    Receiver Hitch Question

I am not sure if they sell a 2" straigh reciver, but on my non lifted liberty, I use a 3/4" drop and every different trailer I towed so far seems to be almost exactly level. If you go with that, you should be fine.

Request: How To Clean the Throttle Body

I usually just pull the intake tube off, and then start it up and shoot some carb cleaner or some sorts in there till its cleaned out. It will bog the engine down a little bit, but I just do it gently, and everything is fine. Then shut it off and stick the tube back on. Good luck

    Power window problems

I am not sure if these have the same as the 05 model, but it could just need the motor gear and belt replaced, and not the whole regulator. I have had problems with mine twice now, so from now on I try and shoot a little WD40 in them once a month or so. Good luck

No Transmission Dipstick on '07 Liberty???

My VW jetta doesn't have a dipstick, becuase the fluid never needs replaced for the life of the vehicle. I actually called the dealer to ask about a flush, and they suggested I didn't want to do that because it would cause the transmission to blow up. The fluid in a VW looks more like 0W-40...

    Liberty engine noise

I put 10W-30 in ours once, but when I did, I noticed it rattled a lot more when idling, and just didn't sound as quiet as the 5w-30, so I put that back in the next oil change. I will need to do it again soon, and I will probably switch out to synthetic.

    Frount windows

My 05 has visited the dealer twice because the windows click click when going up or down. Both times they replaced the motor and the belt. Evidently the belt was rubbing against the bottom of the window causing extra drag and making the belt slip on the plastic gear. They haven't started yet...

Anyone driven the 07 4dr Wrangler yet?

I have been pondering taking one for a drive, just haven't gotten to it yet. The local dealership here has already sold three of them, the only one left is a rubicon version. I don't think I would get rid of the wife's liberty for one, but might take one as a daily driver for myself. We shall...
