Strange thing at the Car Wash - get out, push the Jeep?
Based on the way this is written, I'm thinking this is not an official response. If a Jeep were to suddenly accelerate, I wonder why it would decide to do it only at a car wash? Maybe the Jeep's feel they look better dirty...?- JC

Hitch lbs
I have the same problem, but compounded by the fact the nuts in the frame were rusted badly, and on the one you're describing I can't get tap into it. Also the slot in the hitch does not line up properly. I'm wondering how safe the hitch is with 5 bolts? I'm not going to be hauling a...- JC

New tires/speedo gears
I changed the speedo gear on my TJ Wrangler some years ago. I was able to work with a pretty good parts guy at the Jeep dealer who was able to look up the gear i needed, and had it within a day or so. I would assume the KJ is the same.- JC

Installing a Baby car seat in my Liberty?
I think the car seat was my first mod actually. Installing it is really simple, and should take every bit of 10 minutes or so. But if you are unsure or just very cautious, go by your local firehouse, and they'll install it for you.- JC

I don't know, I don't think that a 2WD SUV is really that much of an oddity. But I agree, it's not my thing either. You know, with it lowered like that it kinda reminds me of the Chevy HHR.- JC

I went the no-drill route. I cut a piece of scrap plywood to fit against the seat bracket, and used the 2 existing holes in the bracket to mount it. I covered it in some scrap interior vinyl that I got at a fabric store for a buck. Slightly over-engineered, but no holes drilled and my 2D fits...- JC

I was looking at buying the Mopar tow hooks, front and rear. I then realized that I could get both a front and rear hitch mounts for just a little bit more $. If I were to use the hitch's with a receiver tow hook or shackle, would that be as good as a frame mount tow hook, and would it be...- JC

Tail gate lock noise
So this weekend my tail gate lock starts making this incredibly loud buzzing noise when it locks. It locks and unlocks fine, it's just when it locks it's extremely loud (not when unlocking though). Has anyone experienced this before? Is there anything in the tailgate that could cause that...- JC
