No they install into holes that are already in the main side beam under the Libby. The rear also ties in to the bolt where the rear suspension sits.- Grey

The Manik 3" fit real tight to the bottom door ledge. The rear tread on the bar actually has about 1/2 " of it under the vehicle. Almost like the supports they send me weren't long enough, but they fit everything perfectly and they seem to run with the line of the Libby's side, so I have...- Grey

I just added the Manik 3" nerf bars - they fit with the molded splash guards. No drilling ...... took about 5 hours, but I'm kinda slow at that stuff.- Grey

Mudflaps

Official Roof Rack/Basket picture thread
I had it on top of a Durango and in the pickup bed of a Titan and did not notice any noise from it but my kids and the DVD are kinda loud and may have drowned out any lite whistle or humm. Have not tried the KJ but I'm assuming it will be roughly the same.- Grey

Leaky roof
that's what it was a pinch/bend and leak in the "sun roof drain". The drain runs along the lenght of the roof above the ceiling liner. Weird, but that's the deal. The service manager said he's seen this a few times and they have never had it come back for a re-fix. I feel pretty confident.- Grey

poor drainage = flooding = fun with the libby
Had to cross some high water myself today. Baltimore County got hit pretty hard. A couple of places the water running down off the golf courses, farms and hills created 30 foot wide foot deep rivers rushing across the road. I felt kinda superior in my KJ. (whistle)- Grey

I removed the rear tire and bracket.....
I think we you missed something. It's a lease. I think the dealer might miss the spare tire mount. I like the clean look of the of USAFCOP's KJ with the rear bumper. As far as the holes in the sheet metal after you remove the mount I imagine you could find a bolt that you could...- Grey

Leaky roof
Heading in to the dealer this Friday. On the phone he mentioned the sunroof drains. I will have them make certain all is cleaned/scrubbed so mold etc does not become an issue. Thanks for the input. I'll let you know how it turns out.- Grey

Uggh!! My libby has a fairly slow leak in the roof. 2006 Sport w/ sunroof...... Anyway it's been raining for a bout 10 hours and this morning while hooking up my kids carseats this morning I noticed drops of water in the cargo area on the side wall. The ceiling is kinda damp from above...- Grey
