    Rusty's bad customer service?

I've never had a problem before; in fact, they've always been willing to talk and answer any questions I've ever had. The shipping has also been quick. I would talk to Tony or Rusty. Take it easy, OG

    New Pics of Our KJ

I have a Rustys 2.5in coil lift (full suspension; no spacers) in the front and the Rough Country 2.5in suspension lift in the back with Heckethorn shocks. The wheels and tires are stock Rubicon stuff. Yeah, we live in Oro Valley. I bought the jeep from a friend in WI, and had not yet gotten...

    Need help.with Trailer Wiring....2004 Sport

Gary, I guess I didn't read in your previous posts that you already have a trailer wiring harness. If you already have any type of trailering package, you "may" not need the supplemental harness. The supplemental harness, though, has four wires that plug into the regular harness in the right...

    Need help.with Trailer Wiring....2004 Sport

If you don't have the overhead console from the factory, there is a second wiring harness that you need to install. You can buy this harness from Mopar, and it is different than just the towing package wiring harness. With this supplemental wiring harness, it plugs into the passenger rear of...

Spacer Lift will be your doom!

I also have the Rusty's suspension lift on my KJ, and there is no UBJ contact; it truly was install it and forget it. I replaced my Rough Country spacer lift because it was horrible. OG

Tim, it's a Gibson exhaust; it is not much louder than stock and has a great mellow tone at idle. When you really get on it, it sounds great, but is not too loud when just driving around town. The tip came with the exhaust.

    ubj and spring contact

KJ04, as for the research, I was quoting one of the techs at Rustys. However, I did go with the new strut assembly instead of the spacers because I plan to keep the Jeep for a while. OG

Spacer Lift will be your doom!

I talked with Tony, one of the techs at Rustys, and he said that their OTT spacer lift will NOT cause any problems with the suspension contact (spring seat hitting UBJ, steering knuckle, etc). Tony told me that the problems associated with spacer lifts are from the spacer lifts with spacers...

    ubj and spring contact

You can also get the Rusty's Over-the-Top spacer kit, which Tony at Rustys' said will eliminate the UBJ contact problems and will give you back the 2.5" of travel you lost when you installed the spacer. I, too, have the Rough Country lift and am replacing it with a Rusty's spacer lift tomorrow...

Sweet gasket; I ordered a couple, too. Thanks!!

Was I "taken" at the stealership???????????

We had the dealership change the fluids in both diffs, the transfer case, and the tranny for only 230-bucks.

Skids, Lockers, and a Lift ...Oh My

The Detroit True Trac is awesome; you can't even tell it's back there when you drive on the road, but it can help you out of some sticky situations off-road. It is technically a LSD, but it doesn't uses clutches, so it should not wear out like others do. The part number for the Chrysler 8.25...

    Rear Diff - Draining Plug?

Trodo, I talked to Martin Verburgt, the owner of Rock Lizard Fabrications about the very same thing, and here is what he said: "The diff does clear the factory gas tank skid. In fact it is only about 1/4" taller than the factory cover, and there is enough room for a dual exhaust setup, as...

    Rear Diff - Draining Plug?

Yeah, it looks awesome!! I'm gonna order one in the morning.

    Rear Diff - Draining Plug?

Actually, they don't have a drain plug; just a fill plug. The easiest way to drain these types of diffs is to remove the lower-most bolt completely, and just loosen the rest of the bolts. Get a flat screwdriver between the cover and diff (where you removed the bolt) and pry the cover away from...
