The rear wiper complete frame (not just the rubber refill) was $10? That is not terrible I guess.
But why are you buying oil filters from the stealer? You do not HAVE to use original equipment oil filters. Your warranty will not be void if you use name-brand oil filters.
I measured the "clean" path on teh glass from the missing wiper. It was 10 and 3/4" ..... smallest one at pep Boys was 12". I'll have to shop around, there's a Napa near me. Auto Zone is about 20 minutes from me too.
What a pain in the booooott.
They stole the wiper frame, not the arm. Luckily I had to put something in the back, otherwise I would not have known and woulda scratched the glass.
Wiper comes off easily too. making me try to think of ways to "lock" it when I find a new one.
It was there and working when I parked. Some 14 hours later it was gone. I was parked at the hospital parking garage (daughter was admitted with nasty stomach virus).
So I guess they aren't really that hard to find. Just nab one from another Liberty.
Anyone know if...
Tim
That does sound like a possibility. I'm not sure if there is such a check-valve in this 2005 Liberty; I'll bring it up with the service guy.
Thanks for the idea.
Well, the problem still exists even tho intermittently.
One work-around we found might reveal the actual problem. If the engine will not run, we take the ignition key out, then put it back in again and try starting. Try that a few times pausing in the run position a few moments (gets...
Looks like you must remember what order the wires come out of the resistor block?
Does the glove box access open up easily?
Why do these blocks break so much?
I'll be trying this fix tomorrow..... 1, 2 and 3 fan speeds have blown out on my wife's 2005 Liberty Sport.
Thanks!
Does your exhaust look especially "steamy"? Lots of water vapor?
The coolant could be being sucked into the intake system, where it gets burned into the combustion chambers. Kinda like alcohol injection.
You could have a crack somewhere (lifter valley in block as example) or a bad...
You forgot to add the part where you must lay rags up under the oil filter because there will be a lot of oil leaking out when you unscrew that tilted filter. Not one of the better ideas mounting an oil filter tilted so it leaks upon disassembly.
Thanks for checking Alldata.
I don't have any knowledge of the ASD and what it affects.... but why would the starter be allowed to crank at all if the ASD was in shutdown mode?
What is the "normal" reasons that the ASD would shutdown? Like if the car flipped over?
Nah, not to look for codes but to see what info is available WHILE trying to start like what is the coolant sensor telling the ECM; is there a signal being received from the crank trigger; etc etc Stuff like that.
I've had older GM vehicles, not sure what is "ASD"?
And what are noid lights? Is that noid, sounds like Floyd? Or sounds like Know Eye Dee?
Note that the engine does crank, like a champ. Just won't start. no sputter no nothin.
I've be VERY happy with Good Year Fortera Triple Tread

Excellent traction all season, especially on wet surfaces. And cuts through puddles to keep you from hydroplaning.
Ya know, I suggested the coolant sensor as a possibility and the service guy dismissed that idea.
Anyone know how much that sensor costs and where EXACTLY it is located?
