I have bled the system of air using the bleed screw.
While running water through the system there was nothing coming through the heater core at all.
Come summer I'm going to have to connect a garden hose to it and let it do it's thing for awhile then connect everything back again. and see...
I'm going to do some testing with this. I'm going to replace whatever fuses may have blown.
I'm also going to try and find my H13 bulbs and see if my high/low works.
It's been awhile since I gave an update on this.
It's still consuming oil but not as bad by the looks of it.
I did some more research and came across people saying that the oil sender/oil pressure could be leaking.
I'm going to check on this and see if it is or not and replace it accordingly
So I ran into an issue the other night where my high beams were stuck open. This is a thing since I use an after market HID harness.
Normally I'd hold it in high beam then they'd turn off and I'd have highs and lows again.
Now when I hold high beams they just turn off, and when I put it to...
I got the PCV changed back to the old one, the one that was in there still had the rattle.
I'll be filling up whatever oil I lost and checking on it daily to see if I'm still losing any.
There is no leaks at the oil pan nor is it sweating.
While doing this I also did a flush on the cooling...
So I looked into this deeper. The pcv valve hose goes to the intake manifold. but the oils coming from that hose that goes to the air box.
Can someone answer this if they know.
So if the pcv is clogged or bad, then it would go backwards and into the airbox? Where does this hose even go?
I went to go and replace this but the rubber elbow that is on top of the pcv is cracked to hell and I couldn't get it off so it will have to be ripped off. I'm going to try an track down a different one or call Dodge and see how much the whole hose is and both elbows.
When I go on lunch I'll take a picture of it and post it here.
Is there a huge difference between iridium and copper? I know iridium last longer which is why I went to those. I'm not to sure what was in there when I bought it but I find no difference between them when it comes to...
Well then, Dodge said I could use them. Looked into them and the state that iridium you lose performance, but they last longer. Is this true?
Are there any good copper lugs you'd recommend?
I wasn't going to put water with the spark plugs :D
I meant for the rubber hose part for the PVC of course I'll let it dry.
My spark plugs were changed at 246,575KM now at 275,000KM. The plugs I ended up installing were bosch iridium spark plug.
No blue smoke, Tail pipe looks normal.
I still have my old one that when replaced still had the rattle in it. I'm going to clean it with brake clean and get it all nice and looking new then swap them out.
I'll also clean the hose as well. should I rinse these as well? I don't have an air compressor nor access to one at the moment.
The only thing that I've come up with when it comes to the oil consumption has been the PVC valve. People are saying that it might be clogged or bad.
Is there anything else that could cause bad oil consumption?
The KK has a line that goes from the PVC valve to the airbox there's no sponge or anything like that in there.
I'll also had my vehicle into right now!
I'm not over heating at all now. It was maybe 4KM from school to home. the temp gauge got past the middle line. I'm not to sure how to explain it. I believe it was the fourth notch so 230, according to this picture
So I was looking around and seen that the aftermarket ones (Which I have currently) aren't the best. I still have my OEM one kicking around so I'm going to clean that one instead and swap them and see how it goes.
So I was looking online as well as coming here, I seen an article that it might be stuck or bad. I'm going to take it off hopefully tonight and let it soak in brake clean and see if that fixes the oil consumption issue.
So I've noticed that I've been losing oil over time and I'm not to sure on where to start looking.
There is oil in the air filter and the PCV was changed out around 258,600KM I'm now at 275,000KM.
I replace my oil every 10,000KM and run full synthetic.
Does anybody have any ideas before I...
