Hey benny and congrats on the new Jeep.
I know what you mean about the storage box in the console. It's really deep and to me, somewhat useless that way. Doesn't yours have the tray that fits in the top? Even that is pretty useless because it's so shallow.
I have just enough room in the tray...
Depends on what you're gonna do with it.
I love my KK. I've had it since April and have about 5k on the odometer. It feels and drives like a bigger vehicle. My only complaint with it so far is the A/C not cooling all the time. I'm sure with the proper mods it would be very off-road capable...
Thanks Blake.
I figured you'd have a plan for something like this.
The wet soapy towel idea seems good. I'll definately give that a try when I get back from vacation.

Well, it seems I've neglected the wife's Compass somewhat. I let some bug residue stay on the front bumper/grill area too long and now it's pretty much baked on :o.
So far I've tried Meguiar's Cleaner Wax and Scratch X (which worked well before) and it's still a mess.
What would you suggest...
I've heard of people using Westley's Bleche White on the letters on the tire covers. I do recommend this product for white letters on tires. I never did try it while I had mine, so I can't comment from experience.
Seems like it might bleach out the surrounding areas too .
If you try...
I can tell you for sure that you'll have to crate it, and regular UPS will not be able to ship anything like that. It'll be way too heavy and too big. I'm sure regular FedEx won't either.
Both companies have a freight service, but I'm willing to bet that it would be cheaper to go with a...
Ummmm...am I missing something? 100% what?
You might try plain old gasoline. I've used it to get dried tar off mine. Just make sure you wash the area immediately and give it a good waxing.

Just had my 06 left rear regulator replaced a couple of months ago...under warranty.
It does seem to be a better regulator....at least the window goes up and down much faster than it did before.
On my wife's Compass, the windows literally FLY up and down .

I have a feeling they were just hoping for a sucker and some quick extra profit. But if Autozone will read the codes for me, I probably should make sure.
They just do this for free....you don't even have to buy anything from them? ;)
Don't remember if JeepJeepster's how-to mentions this or not, but I found it easier to get to the passenger side inboard plug by removing the coolant reservoir. It's no big deal to do and makes getting at the plug with a little better angle. I also removed the air intake hose that connects to...
Well, on my way to work today the check engine light came on (aka Malfunction Indicator Light or MIL). So I took the day off to take the Liberty to the dealer...she's still under warranty. After getting the rental car, I messed around for a couple of hours, got some lunch and got back to the...
Not sure about the 07's but my 06...the speed controls are not illuminated.
Likewise for anything on the doors. I wish they WERE.
Only the dash and center console controls (window switches) are lit up.
