That will be why you are at the side light fuse. Trans-Atlantic communication breakdown! Hehe. The wire on the reverse (back up) lights fuse after the fuse and not before the fuse. Hopefully that makes sense now. :smokin:
I don't understand why you are asking about fuse number 7 specifically? But you need to wire your camera hook up wire (trigger wire) into the reverse light fuse, I think you call it the "back up lamp" fuse? That way, when you put the Jeep in reverse. it will send power to the camera, and cut the...
Depending whether you need to connect at the rear of the vehicle or the front, from the reverse light bulb wire at the rear or you could consider connecting in the fuse box at the front? Just find the reverse lights fuse and connect it at the fused side wire. i.e. The one that is NOT live when...
I know the diameter is M12 but not sure about the length. That will get you halfway there anyway. Hopefully someone else will know the length for you. Steve :smokin:
"Jimmy The Jeep". And his brothers "Billy The Bandit" (Suzuki 1200 Motorcycle) and "Sid The Seadoo" (Jetski).
And yes, funny stickers are alive and well. One on the back of "Jimmy" poking fun at people with "Nurburgring" (Race track in Germany) stickers on the back of their cars, mostly...
I would go for the Corbeau every time Ry. Proven history and I have had a couple in my past life and they stood up to everything that was thrown at them and they didn't sag over time. As comfortable after a couple of years as the day they were installed. Steve :smokin:
Hi All,
Anyone replaced their front brake discs (rotors) recently?
I have got a couple of weeks holiday coming up soon and I am hoping to get the front discs and pads replaced.
The problem I am having is that for my 2002 2.4 Liberty (Cherokee over here)the Brembo catalogue states the discs...
Or just another thought - Have you spun the alternator (generator) by hand? Is there any noise from it? Also check the decoupler on the end of the alternator (the pulley the belt sits on) if it has one fitted which it looks like it does. It's like a one way clutch designed to give the tensioner...
I agree with Tom. I replaced my serpentine belt tensioner a while ago even though it showed no signs of wear or noise. Everything about it seemed ok visually, pulley spun nice and free, didn't feel rough, tensioner moved nice and freely but replaced it as it was a service item that needed...
I was going to let this fizzle out and disappear but I feel strongly that someone is implying that I am a "redneck engineer".
I have got several certificates issued by City and Guilds, The Ministry of Transport and various manufacturers certificates that say otherwise. I was merely saying that...
Jesus! This seems to have got ugly quicky! Without the need for discussion, the answer to the original question "Can I just get a new boot?" the answer is yes you can.
It's only the dust cover that is torn. So long as there are no leaks from the caliper and they work ok i.e. not seized, they will be fine. The bit that is torn is only to stop the crap getting to the machined surfaces of the piston and seals. Steve
No your "thingie" is fine! :happy175: You can just get a new dust cover for the front calipers from Jeep. You don't need a complete overhaul kit. Steve :smokin:
With regard to you just rotating the tyres, I assume you brought the spare into play? Are all the tyre sizes the same? I have just mentioned this is a sway bar thread! Spooky! Hehe. If the tyre sizes are different, they will be revolving at different speeds and the computer will think the odd...
Yes try and keep the same overall diameter on the spare as the road wheels because if you stick 2 different sized tyres on the same axle, (apart from it being illegal in the UK but not sure about the states), it will upset your ABS (Anti lock brakes) if you have it fitted. It will think there is...
