Water pump brand suggestions?
Napa and gates are supposed to be the same manufacture as OEM, I did notice differences between oem and aftermarket, very similar but not exact, however Napa and gates are new with very similar impellers and both seem to have much better reputations than the rebuilds or ones with metal...- Conundrum2006

Ngk plugs maybe the problem. I thought these engine management systems were extremely sensitive to the right plug. Injector are a real possibility. I'm thinking more of a igniters/coils, giving weak sparks. My f150 got a new motor shaky idle remained with the new motor, only thing not replaced...- Conundrum2006

Transmission ~ Used or Rebuilt?
Whoa! Who is getting $2200 for transmission? Is that installed? Used with 124k miles $500 shipped , 77k $348 + 256 shipping, on Hollander parts com. $700 and up for better mileage. Unless I've looked it up wrong. There's also knowing it was rebuilt and a warranty. Dunno. Hard call either way...- Conundrum2006

I use myCarFax to put the vin numbers in to check the service history and recorded milage. MyCarFax is not car fax it is intended to be used to keep track maintenance plus update it. 04 Liberty 3.7L - Need some advice on AC System
Sadly it's probably the evaporator , those usually require pulling the dash. That is what I have to do for the commander. You could try to pull a vacuum and check if it holds, if you're out of freon you've got contamination in the system. If your real lucky maybe it's a bad pressure switch...- Conundrum2006

If you've got a abs warning light then it may just a sensor that's bad not the rotors and pads themselves. Probably wouldn't be bad to get that maintenance out of the way. They were sold under the good year brand, no clue who actually made them but both fold up nicely and roll somewhat out of the way. Keep in mind this must have been12 years ago. How dirty is the radiator/engine bay to start with? How much of the fluid was still proper radiator fluid ? I'd think if it were bad and constantly leaking there be traces everywhere it sprayed. A radiator shop would probably be best. I'm not sure how to pressure test it on its own. A pin hole leak can shoot it across the engine bay not staining the radiator. Water pump has a weeper hole where it will drip slowly as it starts to fail, it may not show another signs of problems except...- Conundrum2006

That's a great tick. For a short time autozone sold a swivel head adapter bent at certain angles so there was none of the wobblyness, sad thing was it was in a clearance bin in 2002 never saw anybody else sell them. Not sure why the cooling system would matters one way or another in the compression test. They just pull the spark plugs and connect the compression gauge one cylinder at a time, turning he engine over to get a reading each cylinder. Dead simple really. Actual weight of the 3.7 assembly?
