    2002 Sport Heat Problem

Bad thermostat or water pump going out. On my old car it was always the thermostat when this happened, but a lot of people on these Liberty boards say that is a symptom of the water pump going out on these.

    Tranny Fluid Leak!

This link was posted once before regarding transmission fluid: http://centerforqa.com/licensedatf4brands.html

    Changing my rear dif fluid

Gaskets should not leak if proper care is taken to clean everything(the surfaces) up before hand, the same applies with RTV. I've seen both leak, personally. The key is taking the time to do things right.

    Changing my rear dif fluid

I also skipped the RTV and used gaskets(FelPro) instead, so far so good. Just have to make sure to clean up the surfaces well.

Nice pics again, and the bumper is awesome! I almost wished I lived in NY still so I could play in the snow with the Jeep.

    Parts forsale

If he was close to me I'd be picking up the complete rear today instead of one from a salvage yard :( May be interested in the rear gears and 2nd dibs on the ARB and cover if you end up parting out, free bump!

More rear end woes :\ Need help!

Got the thing dropped in about 2 hours, not bad at all, hardest part was honestly getting the brake lines undone from the brake assemblies. So what I found was a spider gear came apart, not sure why or how, when I changed the fluid a few weeks ago everything appeared and felt fine, but who...

    retreads and airing down

Did you guys measure them yourselves? The site says 32.2, but if they're 32.8, wow!

    retreads and airing down

I can imagine how bad it is with that size, even my 245/75s rub the hell out of the front fender plastics with my 2.5" lift(22" from center of wheel to fender, need more!)

More rear end woes :\ Need help!

Definitely a good thing, sucks they can't get it pulled til Friday but I'll live, he has worked at the salvage yard as long as I've known him, his family and the family that owns it are very tight. I'll post my findings tomorrow when I pull the rear axle, going to keep it for anything...

More rear end woes :\ Need help!

It does, I was very easy on it limping it back home though, but it seemed to accelerate fine, just a very loud clunking.

    retreads and airing down

Definitely, I had planned on getting that size for my next set but actually picked up some 15x8 Cragars at a price I couldn't pass up, now I'm limited to 31x10.50s from Treadwright or 32x11.50s from a few other manufacturers. 32s dont seem to be very common for a 15" wheel.

More rear end woes :\ Need help!

That's what a friend had said to me. This being my first vehicle with a rear axle, I'm not all that familiar, but I will be soon!

More rear end woes :\ Need help!

Picking up another complete rear axle for $275 from my buddy at a salvage yard Friday, going to drop the one on the Jeep tomorrow, guess I'll find out what it is then.

More rear end woes :\ Need help!

Looking over it more, it appears there is now fluid leaking out where the rear driveshaft flange meets the rear end.

More rear end woes :\ Need help!

Left for work and got about 2 blocks from home, and there was a jerk and POP and now a clunking that is wheel-speed dependant. The front drive-shaft and front axles are not in, and nothing appears wrong with the rear driveshaft. I'm thinking maybe a rear axle shaft but I suppose the wheel would...
