the stop was at full lock. no ABS.
alright so new pads no matter what because i dont know what kind are on there right now..
so when i change out the pads what should i look for?
no i have not inspected the bore this is my first time touching the brakes....
and for the pad, i thought the paint could have been the problem and i hit the corners tabs with some sanding paper.
all of this noise started happening after i had locked up my brakes on the auto bahn...
well one slides a lot easier than the other. is that fixable, or do i order a new pin?also one of them has a black plastic peice on it? what is that for?
last why would this make the brake pad hard to remove?
last time i looked at it i re greased the pins and they moved in and out freely. The rubber boots seemed like they were in great shape, and the pins also were in good shape. I cleaned off the old grease from the pins, boots and holes that they go in, then regreased. I used i beleive its...
Only on my passenger side front i have this problem. 1 of the pads has an extreme angle of wear and is difficult to remove. Could this pad have warped or something? I re-greased the caliper pins and they slide freely but still i get the grinding noise, and it seems like the brake pad is stuck...
i just said its more responsive, but i have only noticed in low end nothing in the higher rpms or anything.
im not planning on doing any huge mud holes or anything i really like the look of a snorkel though. but what happens when its raining? does moisture get in the tube and into the filter?
well, i think today i might throw the box back on but keep the aluminum pipe and see if it makes any differance. i will be running my brand new fram air filter til i order a k&n.
well i thought about a snorkel! just the price and the cutting into the body scares me away...
but most jeeps that i have seen have had like an aem intake with an cone filter, wranglers. But that was also in Nevada where mud isnt common at all! and most rigs last time i went on the rubicon had...
i am pretty scared.....
my last question would be is there any other way to get performance with the stock airbox?
wouldn't a drop in k&n do the same as a fram, or other ordinary drop in?
well i posted my pics of my complete CAI and i like it a lot! little bit more responsive, plus the sound!! only problem now is scared of playing in the water....
i havent mudded in a while, and its mostly from cleaning it the last time with the pressure washer, that just sprayed everything everywhere!
i will be trying to make something to try to keep water and mud away... just have to think on what would work
