Painted center caps
I painted all of my center caps metallic red, and changed the chrome lug nuts to black - even the lock lugs on the spare tire seen here.
So I found an app to reduce the size of my photos and I'm back in business. :-). Here's a favorite pic of my renegade vs a lifted wrangler on 33s. I'm probably biased but I think mine looks just as aggressive.
I Mentioned it earlier in the thread - i can't post pics because every jpeg I take with my phone now exceeps the max size of 97kb. I could post them on a different site with links here but that's just tedious. Oh well.
Update: problem solved. Pictures continue to be posted later in thread
Thank you very much for the compliments. :-). I've done so much more to it too, and i've taken things to another level. But sadly I can't post pics anymore. Wish I could.
I'd rather not if I don't have to, but that is a possibility. I'll probably wait till the weather gets a little better and try retaking some photos with different settings on my phone. Hopefully I can get smaller files that way. But seriously, if anybody with any say is listening - this site...
I'd like to post some updated photos but this site only allows small picture files and won't let me post my current pics - it says they are too big. Grrrr.

Since it's still cold out I've taken to driving with the heat off as much as I can so I don't have a problem. But when summer comes I'm screwed, because running the AC doesn't get things cold enough to help. So back to the dealership I will go again. Grrr
QUOTE=Damotee;708065]I have an 05 Renegade and much prefer the flat hood. Gives it a more aggressive look imo.
Nothing against the other liberties, but I totally agree. And the more wrangler-like hood and grille make it look more like a traditional Jeep.
I thought I would post this for anyone else who has an 05' or 06' Renegade KJ with the exclusive flat hood/higher grille, and like me might have wondered how many were made. Well here are some answers from Jeep -
To put things in perspective, Jeep sold 963,540 KJ liberties in the U.S.A...
I'm gonna guess that most liberties produced in the two years the flat hoods were offered were not renegades or rocky mountains, but sports and some limiteds - but maybe I'm wrong.
Do you remember the email address that you used??
[UOTE=Leeann;707636]I have an '05 Renegade. There are probably 50 other Liberties around here and at least 5 of them are flat hood Renegades.
I can see 50 different liberties a day driving around my area, and I never see any other flat hoods. And I always look. Must be regional. But jeep...
I've been dealing with this problem for a year and a half now. Changing the shift interlock cable seemed to work for several months and then it started doing it again. I've gotten by with information listed here. But here's a new twist I recently figured out - the problem is heat sensitive...
I have looked all over for production numbers of the flat hooded kj renegades and still can't find any numbers anywhere. I have a 2006 renegade and I'd love to know how many of them were made. Given that I have only seen two besides mine in the last two years they have to be relatively rare.
If you don't think every question is a fair question than you don't respect the term.
And who said the answer had to be definitive. Approximations from experience would have been welcome.
Every question is a fair question.
Even if it would have to be answered differently - like specific to different tire sizes. It's still a fair question.
