I had that rust starting on mine and caught it before it got to the outside. For the sake of not feeling like doing body work last year after doing the rockers completely, I sprayed the heck out of the doors(and every crevice) with Fluid Film preventer oil. Has not progressed or remerged since...
Finally got the warrantied fuel pump module installed. Slightly better pressure, still leaks down. Pulled the fuel rail with injectors attached. 3 of the china injectors from last year are seeping. Go fig. Got bosch units on the way.
The shutdown moan noise... NVLD pump. I put a spare on and...
There is a full range of specs in the KJ manual. Mine had a dead spot in the sender wiper reading at 95 pecent full for a long time. The harder starting/bleed down is an issue with the sending unit's check valves. I just replaced my whole unit to correct it and found the replacement wasn't a...
Also having this issue, wondering after doing everything except a map sensor could the generic TPS be a thing? It goes away when I get out of that window of speed or push OD off. Could it be a thing like the TC engagement going wonky? Sure hope not but seen it happen on other cars.
Considering I've been rear ended at some levels 6 times (2 while towing a trailer, and one vs a F350 farm super duty. The 6 bolt hitch apparently counts for something, as the only damage from the F350 to the actual vehicle was where the spare tire pushed in.
I would check that the connectors are all seated properly. On injectors and coils it can be beneficial to use dielectric grease as well. There is a ground wire from the injector harness to the cyl head that can corrode.
Ive noticed injectors seeping can affect that, as well as getting the CCKP reset/relearned. The relearn is easy but it takes a computer(unless someone has a trick. Had to borrow a friend's shop tool a couple times.
I replaced my overhead ones with reds and they ghost a little but with red its not a big deal. On my 1994 ****** I tried replacing the brake and tail lights and found they were actually goofing the PCM... Ended up going back because of several random CEL codes. I would like to swap the gage...
I have yet to see a 60 psi running number, just a vibrating needle at 58 peak. The current pump complete module was an amazon unit, Schnorkel brand. The previous motor-only refitted one was a bosch. It is not neccesarily a mopar cap, though I have never replaced it. Highest I saw key off with...
BTW, one tell if its power steering fluid vs DOT brake fluid is that Dot will remove/blister paint. PS wont. So if your hose area is intact paint, it is probably a distraction.
My 05 has had the power steering hoses sweat steering fluid for years. Just enough to look wet but not enough to be an issue. The brake hoses are however prone to failure at the rubber/metal junctions. If they are fat at the crimps, they are about to fail. Fortunately when I lost one last year...
For saying supposedly less curing in cold weather, I've loved POR for my snow blower housings and rotors. Even recoated the rotors between storm shifts and had it fully hard. Tried scuffing with 120 grit and couldn't take the dirt nibs off.
Best most tasteful defensive mod I can ever endorse on these...
6 bolt style heavy duty hitch. With the idiotic drivers in this area of PA I have been rear ended 6 times. The last time was a F350 farm truck and it squashed my bike and bent my bike rack(both fixed) and the only vehicle damage...
I have been wrestling extensively with issues on my 2005 reaching the 200k miles mark. It has historically had a random dislike of restarting hot, which then reared its ugly side when I replaced the fuel pump. It had leaking injectors. Replaced them. Replaced crank sensor, all ignition coils and...
