    Oil Filter Removal Tips?

Never thought of that before, that's brilliant. I usually loosen the filter up, then use one of those disposable shop towels to absorb the oil while I takes it off.

So you got about 13mpg. That's not bad considering how much weight you were pulling.

    Window Regulator Permanent Fix!!

BOth my rears have now failed (actually waiting for dealer to get the part in to fix one of them right now). Neither front has failed. KJ around the corner from me has also had both rears fail, neither fronts failed. What's really interesting is we hardly ever roll the rear windows...normally...

    Oil Filter Removal Tips?

I loosen filter from the top until oil starts coming out, then i push the filter upwards slightly to aid in oil draining out. Oil runs down the plastic catcher into my pan on the ground. Once it's drained, i clean it off with a paper towel/disposable shop rag and finish unscrewing it the rest...

    Failed emissions

I'd just buy it and replace it. You could always look and make sure the contacts are all clean on the sensor and it's firmly connected first, but most likely that is not the issue.

    Window goes up crooked

Had one of mine replaced already. There's one a street down from me, it's an 01-05 model. For months the rear passenger window was out on it, after a few weeks they put a black garbage bag over it. Eventually it got fixed. THen a few months later the other one broke and they put plastic...

please help me asap I'm stuck at walmart

Like other said, you need the adapter. I originally tried what you are doing (wiring in manually) only to find out that ther ewas a separate brake light (which pissed me off). If there is a pep boys nearby, they actually sell the adapter you need that goes behind the tail lights for the...

    Towing Mileage

What sort of mileage do you all get when towing, and what is it you are towing and the weight? Just did 1,500 miles last 2 weeks ang got anywhere from 12 to 18mpg (around 15mpg overall I'd say). Was pulling a coleman taos popup and had an 18 cu. ft. rooftop cargo unit. The trailer is a low...

    Dim trailer lights.

That is the only time that I see the phantom, is when brakes are also applied. Without brakes (or even with parking/headlights on) it's ok. It's light enough now that it isn't a big deal, but before I mounted the 7-pole ground the phantom blnking was so bad you couldn't tell which way I was...

    Dim trailer lights.

I *did* fail to mount the groundwire from the 7-pole adapter. I mounted it just now and tested again. The lights are much brighter now (appear to be as bright as before). So this is good. When i signal, the light opposite the signaling one still strobes slightly, but not enough for me to be...

    Dim trailer lights.

I pulled out my splices and wrapped them in electrical tape. Tail lights on the jeep are bright as usual and functioning normally, leading me to believe the wiring where I spliced is still good. I just had an idea though...i remember mounting the grounding wire from the e-trailer harness...

    Dim trailer lights.

I originally installed a 7-pin harness by splicing into the wires under the gate in the back (under the plastic cover). I was unaware there was a cheap harness from etrailer that could plug right in behind the tail lights. At any rate, I drove around with only brake lights (no tail lights)...

How many miles on the OEM tires?

Mine were wasted at 27k miles, they were also the SR-A's.

Those who went from KJ to KK?

That's pretty much my stand. I sure wish there was another 30-40 lb-ft on tap in my jeep for when i'm towing.

L.O.S.t Ouray, CO Run... July '09

We normally stay in a B&B in Ouray. It's possible we could be up there this time of year. Hard to say this far in advance...can't even guarantee we'll live in Arizona next year. I'll keep this in the back of my mind though.

    Trailer wiring connector

Well, both of the trailer i will be towing have 7-pin connectors on them. So I do need a 7-pin.

    Trailer wiring connector

The dealer wanted $180. I dont' tow much...I think i'll do without the trailer turn signales and use hand signals...plus my jeep's turn signals caneb seen over the short, tiny tent trailer :p

    Trailer wiring connector

Yes, btu they are also the turn signal lights. My problem is, how do I wire them both up? I can tap them both into the brake wire, but then when i hit the breaks while I have my turn signal on, the lights will both be hot all the time (and there will be no signal). This is what I've done for...
