    Bonjour ! from france

Also try Autodoc.co.uk, everything comes from continental Europe and is very cheap, they must have an equivalent site for France, and it will be quicker! Bon chance!

Engine not getting up to temperature.

I have ascertained that it IS a stuck open thermostat. I have found a supplier here that sells a 88 degree one, most of the ones over here are only set at 80 degrees. Fingers cross that will get me up more vertical.

    H&R Spring Review

My front KYBs are holding up very well. My rears lasted less than 1500 miles and gave up. Now replaced with B6 Bilsteins.

Engine not getting up to temperature.

I have neither loads of money or time to wait. Here in the UK we can get new pattern thermostats from between £40 and £70, which I think is less than you guys in the land of the brave and free? The VM engine has been used by a few other vehicles in Europe, mainly commercial vehicles, not just...

Engine not getting up to temperature.

My transmission cooler, which is integral to the main coolant radiator, developed a leak about 6 months ago. I couldn't stump up for a new rad at the time so I fitted an aftermarket external transmission cooler up behind the front grill. Since then my gauge stays closer to a 1/4 rather than up...

What did you do to your jeep today?

From what I understand the CRD is meant to run quite hot for peak efficiency and the impression I get is that having the tans cooler integral to the engine coolant rad helps keep the temps up in that zone, and without that heat input the system is too efficient. A friend has a laser thermometer...

What did you do to your jeep today?

When I had the trans oil cooler problem it was before I had found autodoc and was quoted £930 for a new rad, which was why I went for the external aftermarket route which worked out at £50 after I'd bought rubber lines and fittings. Looking at a couple of hundred quid for a rad from autodoc...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I replaced rear pads and handbrake shoes. I assume the rear caliper was designed by committee. What a pain in the backside! Done now though. Next job is to get the running temperature up to spec. Not long after I bought the jeep the transmission oil cooler went south. (2.8 CRD auto) so I threw...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Having spent the weekend ripping my front brakes apart, replacing everything that hasnt already been replaced in pursuit of ridding my CRD of the wobble of doom, failing to, ripping everything apart again, cleaning mating surfaces etc etc to no avail. And repeat. Multiple times. Took it down to...

What did you do to your jeep today?

No I haven't. I've bottled it this weekend as after watching a handful of videos the fronts seem a bit of a pig of job (the top hose mount) needing several pairs of hands. Its too cold to be doing this without a heated garage and everyone useful is quite tied up (like me) making every second of...

What did you do to your jeep today?

New front calipers and hoses arrived today, I looked for a 'How to' regarding the hoses but couldn't find anything. Is there anything I need to know before embarking?

    H&R Spring Review

I'm rocking standard KYBs up front and Bilstein B6s at the back. It's sitting level at 20" all round with standard sized A/T 235/65/17s. I like your diff mount extension. Do you have a side on picture of your truck?

See post 38 in this thread, from the H&R Technical Support Team. What shock absorbers are you running up front?

    H&R Spring Review

No, they are not needed, it's not a radical lift like with EMU springs.

    H&R Spring Review

Yes, but with a caveat. The KYB rear shocks blew after 1,500 miles and I believe it was a manufacturing fault, I was refunded without any issues. I have put the old (original?) ones back on which are okish bearing in mind the passenger side one is on its way out. I ordered some Bilsteins B6's...
