jk hard top question

gas mileage??
I'm assuming 4wd, right? Even if it is, that still doesn't sound right to me...especially since it's not lifted with bigger tires or anything (I saw your pics earlier). I know ours is 2wd, but in city we average 17-18 mpg and hwy around 22-24. 4wd shouldn't make THAT much of a...- 06Liberty

Feeling the gears shift and bucking when backing up
The only time mine, or my mom's does it is when you're backing up an incline. It'll shimmy, shake, jerk, etc...but not really bad, and not on level ground. Good point, maybe try going to the dealer to get it re-calibrated? Mine is the opposite, when it's all said and done I would have driven MORE miles than my odometer will read. :D- 06Liberty

You didn't specify whether you are going faster, or slower than it says you are. I assumed you were talking about going faster than the speedo says....because if it's only 1, 2, or 3 mph difference, why would anyone care about going slower than the speedo says.....if anything that would help...- 06Liberty

That shouldn't be a big enough difference in height to really matter. In fact, the 235/70 is actually shorter than the 225/75's so if anything you should be going slower than it says you are....if it says you're going 60, you should actually be going about 59.3...- 06Liberty

I'm guessing you have bigger tires? If so, then yeah it'll be off unless you get the speedometer re-calibrated. I know my JK is about 5 mph off if I'm going 60 (it says 60, i'm actually doing 65)....but my tires are 2 inches taller than stock.- 06Liberty

I think it's probably a "cost cutting" kind of thing....why make 2 different radios (one with, one without) when you can just make it NOT work on one of them? DEH 4900 install
ok i just saw the pic of the wal-mart harness.....that must be like a universal type of thing...it looks like there's 3 plugs when you only need 1. I guess you find the one that fits your factory plug and use that one, then cut the rest off? That sound right to anyone else?- 06Liberty
