I used an eBay led light kit in my 2011kk and have been very happy with them, the kit included the vanity light size. Only note is the map lights you must remove the metal bulb cover to use the led version bulb. The metal just unclips from the light housing.
My Liberty did this when my key fob went bad. It would randomly lock/unlock with the added benefit of also rolling down all the windows. I bought a new fob and programmed it and it's been fine since. Putting a new battery in the old fob didn't affect the behavior at all and I could see nothing...
Hi, I would skip trying the head gasket in a bottle fix only because I wouldn't want to chance the stuff getting into the heater core. Used engines are plentiful and cheap compared to other types of cars. I would find one I liked and drop it in. We have plenty of working space so with some time...
Just a chime in here, I haven't had this issue in my Jeep but I have had this issue in a late model charger, I think it was a 2012. Ended up replacing the motor and track assembly. May or may not help. If you have a local you pull part place these KK Liberty's have been showing up in them. Worth...
Hey, if you haven't found an adapter that works I could throw mine in a padded envelope and send it to so long as you can ship it back when finished. It would be coming and going to Omaha, NE.
P.S. the limited part was my fault. The key I programmed was one I had tried before and failed because I used the incorrect pin(thought I had found the correct one diging around in the ecm). From my research the key can only be properly programmed on the first attempt. Because I tried and failed...
Success, but limited. I was able to get the pin code for my 2011 KK using the Chrysler pin puller app. It worked with my older Konnwei obd2 adapter. You have to start with a fresh pairing to your phone making sure no other apps are trying to access the adapter. Once pairing is complete, turn on...
Good to know. I'm going to try this tonight when I get home. I have an old dongle from when Bluetooth was the next big thing, lol. Perhaps it's old enough to work. I saw that same splitter video too.
Yes, 98% to 100% of the legit online stuff requires a locksmith license. Even that app presumes you know what you are doing. No instructions at all with it. Fortunately for me I am rather tech savvy and I'll provide instructions if and when I figure it out. It's not rocket science. I finally got...
I have found an app in the play store after much research that I am going to try when I get home. It is aptly named Chrysler pin puller. It requires an elm327 obd Bluetooth adapter, I happen to have, and charges 14.99 to retrieve the pin. I am hoping it's not digital snake oil and does the job...
I have fought with my local dealer to get that pin also. They told me that they can only process a limited number of request to get these pin codes and will not provide them to the public under any circumstances. I hope you have better luck and share how if you're successful.
Hi and good morning, I'm not a fan of additives to oil but maybe as a last ditch troubleshooting move add in a quart of Lucas oil stabilizer with some straight 30wt oil and see if the noise changes. I wouldn't run straight 30wt for regular use. Just something to try since you've explored...
