maybe...but i'll bet you have to upgrade the evic module itself. The '05 KJ parts list shows two modules. It would be a simple swap, but expensive...

Thanks for the reply...maybe i can use the tracks from the '03 and the rails from my '05 if that's a problem. What i need to really do is find an '03 on a used car lot around here and take a look.
that's intereting, i'll have to see if it it will detect the swap after my next rotation. I think the '05s+ don't come with the magnets because after a couple of minutes, it will detect if the wheels were swapped out. But I have an '04 evic and sensors, so i figured better safe than sorry and...
from http://www.wjjeeps.com/tpms.htm
I've done it each time i've rotated the tires, its pretty straight forward. Didn't get the magnet when i bought the sensors, so i've been using the stock door speakers i took out a while back.
've been looking for power seat tracks for a while, and i've finally located a set without having to buy the whole seat...they are out of an '03 and i have an '05. I've checked the service manuals for each year and it appears the under-seat connectors are the same. My question is does anybody...
i was surprised that the first few responses here were positive, i think to almost to the person everybody at LOST hated it. I don't like the commander at all, and i didn't like what i saw in the above pictures.
I hope they soften the lines up some in the final vehicle, but if harder edges...
No pics, but a month after i got the rb1 i was so unhappy with it i went to cartoys and seriously looked at the double din navs. They said they could fab up a new bezel, but it would be a couple hundred dollars on top of the nav and install cost. That was the end of that.
If i hadn't...
There are two things i don't like about the rb1. The first is the screen size, it's so small that even on the highest zoom, a lot of the street names aren't displayed. Working in an unfamiliar city, i use the map feature a lot to get around, and the rb1's screen makes it tough.
The second...
i took a closer look at the one from the '04 GC, it doesn't have the homelink buttons...its probably an otis rather than an evic. It will have a few less functions and not look as nice as an evic. But i started with an evic that wasn't perfect and upgraded later. Once you install one...
I started with an '02. No temp (read --), no instant MPG (always read 0.0). Went to an '04, everything including temperature displays properly.
Once a week i do an ebay search for KJ parts...If i remember correctly there two possible on ebay right now you might be ok with, one from an '05...
i took a guess on the options, but according to their website, the kelley blue book value for a private sale in the scranton area would be about 13,000.
go here and give it a try.
from a pdf copy of the '03 service manual somebody hooked me up with. Download the radio_*.pdf files here:

hope this helps, sorry about your radio.
The best way to go about it would be to remove the flares and bumpers and paint them separately from the body. I didn't want to take the chance of breaking something while removing them, or have them not going on as well as they did from the factory when i put them back on.
Instead i taped...
if you already have the evic, you should be able to splice into the fused ignition switch output:
I'm guessing if you are getting a mirror that has a temp and compass display you don't already have an evic. If that's the case the wiring for it probably won't be there.
just finished painting the flares and bumpers black...can't decide whether to use penetrol or paint on the plastic bits that are already black like the side mirrors.
window tinting and car alarm would probably be next, altho when it comes time i'll probably have those done professionally...
I didn't see one....maybe a little more get up and go, but nothing concrete, just seat of the pants perception. A month later i upgraded the exhaust and that's when the gains came, about 1-2mpg every tank. It's one of those things you want to do early tho. The longer you have all that stuff...
don't think that was eddiev9's kj...he has a renegade in his avatar and the kj in the picture has the stock sport steelies. Still, the demise of any KJ is sad...a story here would bring some closure....
btw, hyedipin, i've been looking at that pic for about 15 mins and i can't figure out...
I'm right at 6' and the visor is also pretty useless for me, tinting was hopefully going to kill a couple of birds with one stone. I was also hoping it would keep the jeep a little cooler in the summer.
I think i wasn't clear earlier, i think the meguiar's has been keeping the wheel from...
i might have to get a sunshade. I have the carcover, but i've never used it, too much of a pain to put on/take off. How about window tinting, will that help any? I'm planning on getting it done anyway. i know i can't get the whole windshield done, but will that help some?
