    Introduction

Are they right hand drive? That is pretty much all I remember from my trip to the Virgin Islands; RHD cars and driving on the wrong side of the road. Welcome.

    First Time Poster

If you put in a Selec-trac TC, then the original KJ most likely didn't have a full-time option. Thus, your heep has no full time light on the dash to begin with. At least that is what I would imagine the case is. And welcome. Nice looking Libby you got there.

    Chrysler 8.25 D44 swap

The 8 and a quarter rear end is pretty strong. I have seen countless XJ's running 33-35" tires with no real issues. They are popular too, so any aftermarket item you could want is easily available as well; lockers, diff guards, gears, etc. If you are going to swap axles you might as well...

    Jeep moving to china

From what I have read is that they are re-opening plants in China to produce vehicles for the Chinese. Not that they are moving their entire operation overseas. There seems to be a lot of loosely worded articles with little information and a lot of assumptions going around.

    Terrible Mileage on 2012?

You running the AC on full blast? Any ether or ethanol mixed in your area's summer blend of petrol? You are only about 1-2 mpg's away from what is stated on the sticker; pretty small potatoes. Seems like all is normal to me. Welcome to owning one of the thirstiest small SUV's made. :D

Yo Arizona (and NM and CO and UT and WY and any others)

Yes, the regional forums on here are pretty dead. Great site for general info and some tech here and there. I see you are registered over on the AZ Virtual Jeep Club. That is a really active site with wheeling trips and trail reports and the like. Mainly folks in the Phoenix area though...

Chinaman Gulch Colorado - a couple clips

Right on! Nice videos. Makes me miss wheeling trails like those. I like to see KJ's hanging with the "big boys" so to speak.

Window repair warranty extended for 06 & 07 KJs!

Just got off the phone with two different dealerships after another failure (only my 4th so far; knock on wood). What a load of horse manure. I had my rear passenger regulator / lift plate replaced last year free of charge due to this repair warranty. Both dealerships now state that the...

So how about planning an East meets West trip...

Edit: Didn't pay attention to the fact there was more than one page to this thread. Snail Farmer just put up the same info. :D The Black Hills and Badlands would make for a good wheeling trip. I'd be down for Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, or South Dakota though. Where there is still...

    Driveshaft

http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/f202/how-change-front-driveshaft-change-driveshaft-head-47161/ You can rebuild the CV end and save a lot of money. This just happened to my Jeep a couple weeks ago as well. I haven't fixed mine yet but plan to soon.

Jeep Liberty Reliability - how does it compare?

I have never noticed this thread before. It got me thinking about all the shit that has broke / needed to be replaced. 2 window regulators, 2 driver's side CV's, 1 passenger CV, Intermediate shaft, I go through driver's side front axle seals fairly quickly, front driveshaft (boot is gone)...

    food for thought

What happened to your door? I like the current color better than the white. :D What size are those? Are they Swampers or another set of LTB's? And your spare doesn't match. :p

Who makes the best CV joints?

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure NAPA reman'd CV's are Cardone. When I bought mine from NAPA it came in a Cardone box. Haven't had any problems in the 10K+ miles I have it so far.

    Replacement steering rack

The dealership here quoted me $1100 for a brand new rack and $2400 for labor. I bought a reman from Napa for less than $300. Took me and a buddy about 6 hours to swap it in and I paid him in pizza and beer. $3150 saved! :D
