Trailer Hitch
Looking for a decent trailer hitch for my '04 Liberty. I've tried car-part.com, etrailer.com, etc. Most of the stuff on car-part is a couple hours away, and shipping is outrageous (I know, it's a heavy thing anyways.) Anyone know of a good place to buy, either new or used? Possibly...- osufans

Sweet Cross drilled rotors and pads. $285.
That NASCAR short track pic looks like the surface is grooved though. Still, same principle as a slotted or cross-drilled. Vent reliefs for off-gassing. I would agree though, that loss of mass could create overheating/warping problems.- osufans

What did you do to your jeep today?
Picked mine up from the dealer. Had the rear control arm recall performed. Gonna have to find a hitch for it now...traded in the van for a new one, and the old van was my trailer hauler (was our only vehicle with a hitch. :))- osufans

I'd say that sounds about right. I paid $10,900 for my '04 Sport a couple of years ago. It had 57K miles on it I want to say. You check nada guides, or edmunds.com for market value?- osufans

seafoam/injector cleaner question
I would agree, except for cleaning a small engine carb. Had a need for my generator this past weekend, but it kept surging. Been too long since I ran it, had some gum buildup I guess. Any how, broke down the carb, pulled the jets out, soaked the whole thing in Seafoam, then cleaned with...- osufans

Need suggestions on new shoes.
Just to throw a few more suggestions out there: I've personally owned Toyo Open Country AT's and loved them. Had the older style Yokohama Geolander AT+ tires, and they were pretty good too. Just put on a set of Wild Country XTX Sport AT tires on my Jeep, they are very similar to the Toyo's...- osufans

Can I "Teach" Auto Trans When To Shift?
yeah, mine never clunks when upshifting. it's a known problem when decelerating for there to be a "bump-shift" feel when dropping from either 3-2, or 2-1, can't recall at the moment...but it's not a known issue to feel it when upshifting. i'd get it checked out.- osufans

Vibration under heavy braking
just an fyi...had the EXACT same problem...swapped out the front rotors, problem gone. i'm guessing it will probably come back, as i was in a pinch and just put the carquest rotors on it. they're on our van also and the van has a mild vibration feel to it, but nowhere near as bad as the jeep...- osufans

Ordered jeepinbyal 6" lift: 33 tire question
Yeah...to save another debate about gearing..I was at least wondering at what point the front diff would be the weak point with tire size. Not sure what experience you have working on vehicles, but first thing I'd do is run your VIN on Jeep's website to make sure any recalls have been taken care of. There's at least 2 that I think would affect your Jeep. Then I'd start with general maintenance, oil change, transmission...- osufans

I emailed one of the guys over at kNOw Where 2Jeep...and he gave me a quote on a Magnaflow stainless muffler. It wasn't their polished style, but it was pretty cheap. Yeah, Apple Valley isn't too far from me. It's closer to Mt Vernon. I live closer to Johnstown. I would agree the hills in WV are definitely bigger than anything around here though. :)- osufans

Actually, I was averaging better MPG on the drive home (just over 18) than my average MPG was prior to installing the tires (17.8). I don't know how accurate that is though, as that was based on the trip meter, which is now off due to tire size. I could see if this was your daily rig, or you...- osufans

I'll have to agree. I was looking at other lifts, but after doing a lot of research and asking questions, I was steered in the right direction. OME lift all the way! I only went with the OME 926 springs up front, as others mentioned the 927's might be too harsh if you don't run an ARB bumper...- osufans
