    Swing Gate Wont Open

Wellll, as a 2006, you can take it to the dealer under warranty... Aside from removing the rear trim panel, assuming it can be done easily with the door closed, I don't see any way for you to release the latch and get the swing gate open. Even if you get the panel off, it may not be possible...

Am I getting the right EVIC parts for my 2003 KJ ???

Well, you need the pigtail, and I assume you knew that and are including it in the EVIC. But yes, that is the ambient temp sensor from the 02 and 03, not sure about other years, especially since mine came with it already, and there is no reason for me to go check on them.

    Better MPG than I expected...

Of course it is possible. People with a lead foot may not be able to pull it off, but if you know how to drive you can certainly get good mileage out of these on extended trips, even loaded down with luggage and people. I pulled 22.7 MPG to and from Chicago on Memorial Day when I was driving -...

    Tinted my tails!

I used Niteshades, but the Testors is similar stuff. Niteshades is great stuff, but a can of it will last forever and do 20 cars, so share with someone. I still have a full can after doing 4 cars including third brake lights.

    Tire pressure monitoring system

Doesn't matter what kind of TPMS you have, you still have to have the SKREEM reprogrammed to turn the feature off. Premium TPMS comes with the Premium SKREEM module and TPMS on, obviously. Base TPMS comes with the Base SKREEM, and no TPMS gets the Base SKREEM with the TPMS feature disabled.

Safety Recall G03 - KJ BLOWER MOTOR

No letter, but I made an appt with a Dodge dealer last week when the recall first showed up online. My parts are in and on hold for me for a Tuesday appt. All the Jeep dealers somehow already had appointments for a month out.

    Tire pressure monitoring system

Yeah, depending on your area's economic situation, a shop charges $200 and up for the labor on replacing a SKREEM, alone, just to put it in and program in your keys and tire pressure sensors. The part itself is only around $80 and takes 10 minutes to install. Since it stores the Sentry Key...

    Tire pressure monitoring system

The SKREEM will need to be reprogrammed to have the TPMS turned off, that is the only way. Probably cost you the same as having a key added to the SKREEM, so aroun $40 for 3 minutes of work

    SKREEM/WCM location

Yep, that's it. Thanks. No wonder I could not find the thing. I am holding a new one in my hand and going to change it out in the dealer's parking lot since he wants $270 to put it in and program it, but only $40 to program it. An extra 10 minutes of work and they want $230?! hah. Warranty...

Courtesy Lights reversed after EVIC Install

I would guarantee that is the solution, but post on your results either way. Can't be too many other options.

    SKREEM/WCM location

Anyone with a Service Manual or personal knowledge know where the Sentry Key REmote Entry Module (SKREEM) / Wireless Control Module (WCM) is located. I know what the little bastard looks like but I can't locate it to save my life. And of course I am 600 miles from the computer that has my...

Courtesy Lights reversed after EVIC Install

the wires ARE different. I answered his PM about it, and I posted in the EVIC thread he wrote about this in. In 05 the 3 wires are totally reversed from the 06 EVIC he has. All 3 have to be relocated. Your 05: A A908 18RD FUSED B(+) B Z327 20BK/WT GROUND C M20 20YL/LB COURTESY...

HOW TO: Install an EVIC or OTIS (overhead computer)

Already responded to your PM with the solution, check there. I pulled the wiring diagrams and it seems to be a simple pin reversal from 05 to 06. edit: If anyone else runs into the problem, here are the pinouts I sent him in a PM for 05 and 06. Just realign the wires to play nicely. Your...

    Help with Evic

I have one of those, too, so I can tell you they don't fit. They come close, though. I don't think I, personally, would do it, but you could make it work. The way those brackets fit into the car is by fitting snug against the roofline and being glued in place. There is a part where it angles...

Towing tent camper - about 1,500 lbs?

Can't speak to the gas mileage, but I assume you ordered a 7 pin harness, and are planning on installing a brake controller? I think you would be best advised using one for that much weight.

    Help with Evic

You are wrong, coming from this "know-it-all." He will not have the bracket. The map lights are mounted in the headliner only in 05+. NO BRACKET. And what does it matter what you paid for an 04 part, I spoke about 05-07 only, as is blatantly clear. I won't even dignify the rest of your comments.

I didn't say that is what I paid. in fact I have mentioned how little I paid in other threads. The sticker on mine was well over 30k

    Jeep liberty renagade

Not holding value because it costs the same used as a Limited? Since when does a Renegade cost more than a Limited new? Sounds to me like it is holding value better if you are seeing them for the same price as a similarly equipped and aged Limited because mine cost over $30,000. And I don't...
