    My jeep is dead

No Juice It sounds like you have a electrical short that's draining the battery. If you can get it started go to the local Auto parts store they should be able to test the battery. It is possible for a new battery to have a dead cell, if it does it will never hold a charge. A good parts store...

    Falkens Yes/No

I am in the market for new tires and was wondering if any body out there had any experience with the Falken Wild peak AT's or Rocky Mountain ATS? They have fairly beefy tread and depending on the size a 50,000 mile tread wear warranty. Plus they beat just about everything else in the Mid-South...

    Trac-Lok (limited slip) rear differential?

Open all day Looks like a open diff to me. Go to Jeep.com sign up as a owner then on the owners page you can ask for a build sheet. This will tell you exactly what was put on or in your Libby. I have just put a complete rear end out of a donor Libby of the same year in mine. The Donor had...

HOW TO: low profile cross bars

Dip If you use the 1/38" tubing for the crossbars look in the chain link fence dept. They make a two piece right angle clamp, it is galvanized but you can buy Plasti Dip and dip the clamps this will stop any vibrations and give you extra friction for a stronger union. they are less than $2...

Gas tank skid leading to damage??

Fue l Tank The Chevy's have a problem with tanks being damaged this way. I owned a 1985 GMC pick-up and back then they used a metal tank with a metal skid tank covering the bottom and sides. The drainage isn't sufficient and tanks rusting out is a common problem. And the rack that you want...

    Got a noise issue!

I agree with Ry N Jen, while you have it up on stands so you can spin the tires take them off. Repack the bearings, you can do this by hand quickly and very efficiently. Immediate results.

    more concerns

My guess is that you have a recovery bottle that has been broken and rubs when you back up. Where is your coolant leak at underneath the Liberty on the side, in the front, right under the motor etc. The sloshing sound is probably just that, your system is low on coolant when you start the motor...

    Husky liner floor mats

Well I don't know about the winters but I have the Weather tech extreme duty liner's in my Liberty. They fit better than any floor liner that I have ever seen. It has been a really dry summer but that means you track red dirt every place you go, so once a week you empty them and wash them while...

    Rear Axle Swap

play money Correct on the income/pension part! The axle was $50, and since it's still in the low 100's F during the day the adult beverages for later, will run another $20-$30. I drew a set of plans for a roof rack for my 2005 liberty and my younger Son is welding it this week. New steel...

Donor axle The donor had 43,000 plus Mi. on according to the jeep.com inquiry, the odometer had 47,000 plus on it. Private party had it, was literally totaled by Grandma (in the front). My two Sons who are both ASE mechanic's pulled the rear end and checked it over pretty well. The reason for...

    Required Fluid Types

Here is a tip on oil changes: go to jeep.com and register as a jeep owner. They will send you any recalls if your Liberty hasn't had the work already done. And they will send you Mopar coupons for things like oil changes, air filters etc;. I get my oil done at the local Dealer under a service...
