Yep, just click here and you should get to a page on the Jeep website where you can download an owners manual. They only have '04 - current available but depending on what info you are looking for chances are good you'll still find what you need. If not post up and someone that has one can...
I had mine go out a couple of years back; went and found a used one for $90 (around 150 euros), put it in and have had no problems so far. Not sure on the fitment for a 2.4L but they shouldn't be too outrageous. Good luck with the search.
Mostly it has to do with the amount of droop in the suspension after the lift and the fact that the factory UCAs will come into contact with the springs on the front suspension, which wears holes in the rubber boots letting the lubricant out and leading to an eventual failure of the upper...
Scott, check out this thread from a while back - there's even a couple of pictures of where to mount them on the old-style bumpers like you have :D
You can get to the bolts from under the bumper, you'll just need an extension and a deep socket to make sure they get tightened down all the way...
'Bleys'
Wonder who can connect that name to my user name? :) It's not just a 'Random' connection either :D
PM me if you think you can solve this riddle...
What is this 'washing' you speak of? Aren't Jeeps supposed to look like they just came off the trail
Actually I go to the local do-it-yerself place and run about $6-7 thru the box - wash it off, rinse it off and run it thru the air dryer, then vacuum out the crap inside and wipe...
It might, but he mentioned that he got it topped off. Of course if there is a leak in the system and it's getting low again it would be something to consider.
I'm not a great A/C tech but my guesses would be either A) one of the pressure switches (high or low side) may be going out, or B) possibly some air in the system? Hopefully someone will chime in with a better answer, I need to learn more about the A/C stuff.
Welcome Mark. Since you have the keyless entry that tells us you have the premium BCM which is required if you want to install an EVIC/OTIS. Yes one out of an '04+ KJ will work, should get the temp and everything.
On the stereo controls, there is another how-to that covers that, you can...
Unfortunately the answer at the moment appears to be 'NO'. From the research done in other threads it appears that in '04(?) DCX changed how the EVIC derives the temperature information - in an '02-'03 MY Liberty the EVIC got the info from the BCM (body control module) which read the...
Yes you need to remove the pillar trim pieces in order to remove that dash piece - there are two tabs on the bottoms of the pillar trim that fit into slots on the ends of the dash piece, then the dash unit itself is held in place by those lovely little spring clips that auto manufacturers are...
Not so much a sqeak but a metallic rattle kind of sound coming from the front left. Haven't had a chance to pull the panel that covers the speakers but I may do that this afternoon.
Yeah that's the main issue - finding a slip-in spring compressor that will fit in the front springs. I think it would just be easier to take the struts down to a shop that has the proper tools and have them do the swap (of course I have my original front coils laying around from when I...
It's not that you're inept, it's just that my brain has a habit of soaking up all this random information and if I treat it really nice it will occasionally spit out something I can actually use - in this case it worked :p
