    OME N132L - Wont fit

Just wanted to add - great way to do it. I've had this on other vehicles, including a couple Jeeps, and always used a BIG Crescent wrench. It always worked, but your idea as a spreader is a good one to file away.

    wiring help please?

Not sure what you mean by an LED strip. What is the amp. pull? If it's under 4 or 5 there is no reason you need a relay. No idea why your diagram is not working - unless you are using the wrong terminal on the switch (maybe the ground and load reversed). Are the terminals labeled? Verify...

    OnStar in a Jeep!

I've seen a couple posts in here that imply that Onstar uses satellite. FALSE it uses cell service. The only satellite is the GPS receiver. So if you are out of coverage you are still out of luck. Don't believe me Google it, also look at the coverage maps.

    wiring in PIAA lights

You need a double pole switch. You flip one way the feed from the HL goes to the PIAA, other way power from DC source goes to the PIAA. You can also get a center off. Can't use the PIAA switch - just use a replacement. I've wired almost every add on lamp this way - that way you can have just...

    Spotted this new/concept Jeep

Agree - if I ever hit the lottery one goes in the 20 car garage, or maybe on the roof.

    Spotted this new/concept Jeep

You can buy the kit here MOPAR JK-8 Pickup Conversion Kit - 77070049 for $6000. IF I had unlimited $$$$ - I'd go with an AEV - Hey Tom - they are just up the pike in Wixom I think.

    What is this?

I took my bracket off, wish I had kept it on and added shackles.

    What is this?

Let's see a pic of those front hooks. Bet it's a flat tow bar. I'm guessing it was a toad in a previous life. Toad = a vehicle towed behind a motor home. Wires probably a hookup for brake controller and lights. Pull a taillight and I bet you have some extra wires and/or maybe an...

    Help Me Choose A GPS

One damm good reason is when there is no phone signal, there is no map. Unless you use one of the apps that downloads map data. IMHO they are allllll inferior to a stand alone GPS. I'm a GPS/Map junkie so I want all the detail I can find. They may be OF do urban areas - but not...

so who lives in the most rust prone part of the usa

'05 with 90K miles - was a toad and sure it has more rolling miles. Got mine 2nd hand, was an Ohio to Florida RV Toad.... Very little rust in the usual areas. I've added Loctite rust converter, or whatever it's now called along most weld seams. White so any spot will show. It does have...

    Winter Tire Advice

I have Yokohama's and am extremely happy. Previous 2 sets that will remain unnamed were crap on snow. Got these for decent on road and so-so off road and other than deep mud they have performed way over my expectations.

    T Case

Definetly a Allen - not sure what but I'll go wiyj the 10MM. I know it's big and metric. I just changed mine last week. I'd never bothered to look but all my other 231's had a large hex - 1 3/16 or so. I knew just where it was on the socket rack. Crawled under with it and Damm - they...

    Hardwire Garmin Nuvi?

The hard wired you mention does NOT have traffic. The factory power cord has the traffic module in the cord. Only way I know of is to wire in a cig. lighter, or cut the plug off the cord and wire it in. If you mount the original cord behind the dash, you may not receive traffic, or may - just...

Front Brakes Replaced. Braking Is Worse

So you are driving around in a vehicle with the bleeders leaking, and a brake system with air in it? Not sure who is the crazy one here?

    Cooper AT3 Review

Look good, I thought about those last year. At the time they were pretty new and no 1st hand reviews. Went with Yoko's and very pleasantly surprised. Where you at in On??? Spent many a mile up North.

Front Brakes Replaced. Braking Is Worse

While I agree with bedding in, 400-500 miles is NOT the norm, nor is it the recommended procedure for all pads. Hawk has a detailed procedure for their pads. Off the top of my head it's 10 stops, some from 25 or so them some from 45, cool down, etc. Hawk also has specific rotor cleaning...

    WTB Spare Tire Reinforcement Plates

A question - how do these come off??? I just touched mine up on the Jeep and it looked like you needed to pull the inside door pad. Mine are not in bad shape. But might pull them anyway. Thanks

suitable ground location for trailer harness question

Why don't you just run it all the way to the battery negative terminal? FWIW - one place on the body should be as good as any other - if your Jeep is welded together properly :) Behind the tail light is one of the better places as it is (generally) dry. Where does the factory ground the...
