My guess is that straight hose from the overflow to the rad is just straight hose. I'm in the process of changing all as well. I've already done the rad hoses, water pump and t-stat.
Just waiting for warm weather to do the rest. When I have it down I'll run to the local shop and see if...
Update _ solved
Quote my own post...
I had this noise for over a year and maybe 5000 miles.
Finally - gone. I just replaced the water pump as it had a small leak, bearings still seemed fine. After that it was noticeably quieter, at speed, noise is gone.
My guess, and just a guess is...
I've seen 50 buck ones, but not worth it if it will just eventually go the same way.
It's funny, my older Ford still looks like new. I think it's either the type of plastic, or more likely, the HOAT antifreeze dye.
I just remember seeing someone do a Chrysler vehicle of some type and...
I recall seeing somewhere where someone cleaned out the yellowing that we all get after time. Will soon be replacing all the hoses, w. pump, t. stat - figured I'd clean this out as well.
Anyone have any ideas? Seem to remember Denture cleaner or something..
I use one of those Panavise style mounts where you remove the cluster trim and intall the mount, I have a ream base on it.
I'm using the huge 5" or 7" Garmin. It's out of the way of the airbag, but will slightly block the radio for the passenger.
It's not so much the amp draw (though that is the part of the original Jeep design) it's that the KJ has separate stop and turn signals. The converter works to give an output for trailers with combined stop/turn.
You can either use a converter - or wire a separate turn signal for all your...
It will work - same way I have mine. I just grabbed it at the hi beam line under the hood. Relay is under the hood but I witch the relay on/off from dash switch.
I did the 827/948 springs ad also OME shocks. It's a 99% daily driver - but will beat the hell out of dirt roads, OBX SAND, and the occasional mud. Not afraid to take it about anywhere.
Stock 17" wheels (it's a Limited - sucks).
What I wanted - and got was a much improved street ride.
Know that area , stayed in Munising several times. Seen Dave's equipment before. There is another dude in Shingleton that has some off road towing equipment also.
I've never stuck the Libbey uo there, but did bury a Focus SVT in sand once.
That's a long drive for you - I'm in Ohio and it's...
I'd just keep those tires at the recommended psi (look at the door jamb) or maybe a pound or 2 higher.
FWIW - there is a big in the low pressure warning system. At least I've seen it as have others. I have a 2005 fwiw. On a LONG low speed run - say maybe an hour or more where you are rarely...
Guarantee mine is not wind noise, unless the throttle position could affect it :)
I'll try the intake horn though. Might even throw an air filter replacement in - though it looks good.
FWIW - I had all kinds of wind noise around the windshield moldings, it's stuffed full of black rope caulk now.
No idea - but I have something similar... and the same hearing issues !!!!
Mine sounds like the same area, but I can get it to come and go with slightly different throttle positions.
Checked for vacuum leaks, air leaks on the air filter - intake tube.
I also thought at 1st it might be a...
You could catch the high beam under the dash, use a double pole switch if you wanted to run the aux. lights separately, then only need one thin (22 ga or smaller) hot wire to fire the relay. Also works easier if using an illuminated switch or pilot light.
Not a fan of switched grounds :)
I did all 5 2 years ago using the Duracoat wheel paint, clear coat and proper etching primer, under 75$ for supplies.
I started by sandblasting the 1st one or 2, then realized that what looked like degradation of the aluminum was just in the clear and the metal was fine.
I then sanded off the...
Fiberglas - really? Not even sure which vehicle this post was about as no quoting and it gets discombubulated , but most tanks are blow molded plastic of some type.
I've never seen a full one. I have a some type, but it's been 6 years and would need to look for a name :)
What I do when the need arises is throw a blue tarp over it. I also always carry a roll up blanket/tarp/picnic blanket "thingy". If I have too I can use it.
Fiat is now offering Libby owners $100 bucks to get the trailer hitch recall done.
Now I have an excuse to get my hitch washed :)
Some type of Visa use anywhere card - still have not seen the details.
Glad I waited, wonder if I wait another 6 months it will be $200?
FWIW - I'm in Ohio, but have been to OBX a few times. Did 55 miles one day up North in the "horse area".
I have OME springs and shocks and Yokohama tires. Ran the tires at 18 lbs and it was like a tank. I have tons of off road experience in various vehicles going back to a 74 Bronco, but...
