The depreciation of my KJ hit me hard in the wallet. If I bought another new Jeep, they would have to discount it way more than they already do. Smart money buys used cars. Or BMWs.
Bad bulb. One of the filaments is bad. When you tap on it, it made a connection and "arc welded" itself together. Change the pair and keep the one good one as an emergency replacement. And you might already know this, but handle the bulb with a glove or rag, fingerprint oil will make it fail...

Q: How do I access my 12-digit ESN/SID Number?

Almost everybody that has fabric seats... If there is a certain year or type that doesn't spot up, I would like to know about it. You have to shampoo it again. I tried Scotchguard. It did not work. if you do a search here, it's been discussed before and there is a TSB for it.
I wonder if the bumper is pushed back. If your front end was bent that bad, it might not steer straight. Ride straight through a water puddle and check your tracks to see if it is "dog tracking". If so, something is bent or broken.
That's about 12 mpg, easily obtainable with a KJ in city traffic or with bad driving habits. What a lot of people don't realize is - the throttle body opens up quicker than you think it is. It is not exactly linear with the gas pedal.
There is a relay. Most likely failure. Not familiar with the CRD... Is there an engine driven fan too? If not some vehicles have 2 electric fans, one for the normal cycling on/off while running another for the AC use.
Seeing KJ924's post, I am reminded that everybody's cars and batteries will be different. Anybody that works at a place that sells batteries probably replaces a lot under warranty. I know I did. Which leads me to believe that battery manufacturing is an inexact science. Ask anyone at Exide, lol!
Only way to check a battery is with a hydrometer after it is fully charged. That is if there are caps you can open. If you have an alarm, that is your drain. For some reason battery failures are rather sudden in modern cars. I do not believe that Optimas are superior. A friend of mine had 2...
It must not be "major" enough. EPA publication in 2002 - Warranty coverage varies depending on components and individual manufacturer warranty provisions. In most cases, however, responding sooner rather than later is likely to minimize the individual owner’s repair liability. The CAA...
Isn't that emissions equipment? Should be warranted for 8 years/80,000 miles. BTW that's not a Jeep thing. I know Honda and VW owners that have had the same problem.
