    That is by far the strangest idea I've ever seen...not good for mountaintops during lightning storms I would imagine! I also don't know that I'd trust laying on the roof of my car, even with supports--I'd find a way to dent it, I'm sure.

    Speaking of those light bars... fuel mileage.

    The lowest I've ever gotten with my Renegade was 16 mpg and that was in 4wd in the snow and cold...hit 22 once beyond that. Light bar doesn't seem to make a difference--it's conservative driving tactics that do the trick ;)

    Ultimately it's up to you, but just a thought of my own...if you're not having any issues with the '04, and if it's paid off, it'd probably be smarter to keep it--financially speaking, anyway. Compare the costs of fuel economy on your '04 to the CRD's and then add in monthly payments, etc...

    I've only got them on the rear wheels, but I would like them on all four, just haven't got around to getting them yet. I actually tried to take them off the back a few weeks ago, but they've been on there so long there's rub marks so it looked...messy.

    I think if you're going to get black rims, you should paint the fenders to match. The grey-ish plastic would clash with the darker black of the rims imo.

    Umm...HID bulbs are a gas aren't they, so how can they burn out?? But anyway, yeah, my brother's 350z came stock with HID bulbs and the housings project them so they literally have a PERFECT cutoff line. Not having the housings is what'll get you in trouble because the light is a big blinding...

    Yeah, all I've found so far is a retrofitting kit, but it looks like it could work. I just wondered if there were any anybody knew of. I did find projector kits for the foglights at least.

    Just wondered if anyone knew of any good HID kits or projector housings for the KJ. I'm looking into saving up for some new headlights because I'm kind of getting tired of being paranoid about not being able to see all the friggin' deer running ramped around here these days X.x
