Has anyone else's Jeep started itself? Bizarre.
I got to this one late... But I have the same remote starter in my Jeep. They are called "add-on" starters. You tie them into the existing wiring and the "door lock pulse" is what triggers the starter. On mine, I push the "lock" button on my key fob twice in quick succession and it starts...- Prospect62

Rear Lower Spring Isolators
Hey guys... I tossed my lower iso's when I put my 2.5" spacers in a couple years ago. Now I bought Skyjacker lift springs and I'm going to be ditching the lift spacers, so I'm looking for a set of factory lower iso's to put my new lift springs on. Found Rust hiding under.....
If that's all you guys got, you're lucky! I have rust bubbles (and rust coming through) along my passenger side roof drip rail, around my glass liftgate hinges and on the driver's rocker panel in front of the rear tire. Thanks NY road salt!- Prospect62

Clutch Noise??
For what it's worth, my clutch pedal itself makes a squeaking noise sometimes. I think it's the pivot point where pedal itself is attached or the master cylinder pushrod or something. Nope, the full time action is all internal and mechanical. No computer needed, no computer involved. Accomplished via a center differential/viscous coupler type thing inside the T-case. The "center differential" is the main difference between the NP242 and the NP231. The 242 transfer case...- Prospect62

Yup, it's all internal in the t-case. You could bolt a 242 in where the 231 was. You might get some funky lights on the dash (but probably not). But it would work fine. It's all mechanical. The fancy little PCM features just probably wouldn't work. Hell, maybe they would.- Prospect62

I wouldn't say one is really better than the other. The 231 offers your basic 4WD system. 2WD high (normal driving), 4WD HI (slippery situations where you will be going over say 5 mph), Neutral (neutral), and 4WD LO (slippery, particularly nasty situations where you'll be crawling through muck...- Prospect62
