No doubt about it.
Speaking for myself, I just want to get mine back together as cheaply as possible so I can send it down the road and get myself a GM truck.
You're in good company buddy...I'm on my second 3.7L in two years. Word on the street is that the cost of these engines (used) is going up astrnomically...like around $100 every few weeks.
We aren't the only ones going kaboom.
I got a quote of $2900 for a Jasper replacement. Cheapest...
Welcome and congrats on the new Jeep. Where on the Cape are you? I'm one of the vacationers you probably hate - been coming out every July for the last 14 years to Dennisport.
Brought my KJ out last year for the first time and hit the ORV trails on Race Point and Head of the Meadow...

Either way, they don't usually come with new lights. You can get a set at any of your local auto parts stores like...
Man those Jeep Jamboree's are getting too damn expensive to attend anymore. I mean they are really sucking people dry! Me, my wife and a kid or two and you're looking at almost $1000 for a weekend when all is said and done!
If you have the cash, go for it - they ARE fun. But otherwise see if...
My vote is for the multifunction switch, although problems with those usually manifest themselves with dome light issues.
There's a pretty good amount of info around here on the multifunction switch and a "how-to" on replacement (I think).
I've heard good things about LuK brand clutches, seen here on eBay:
