Oops! edit: *ALL 4WD 2004 Renegades!
:(
LOL, I saw the "4WD only" but missed typing it. I guess I was too concerned with the 2004 year, as I have no idea about the other years.
Here's the 2004 Options:
5th option down clearly shows ALL 4WD 2004 Renegades have the skid plate group, but I'm sure this option may have changed from year-to-year.
These are 'standard' on 2004 Renegades:
Rock rails
Skid plate group and tow hooks
Roof mounted light bar
Roof mounted storage basket
Renegade style seats
235/70R16 all-terrain tires with Renegade style wheels
Riveted fender flares
Deep tinted glass
Limited to black, light khaki...
I bought the lifetime alignments deal through Firestone, and have had it aligned 3 times now over the past 2 years. Each time is has needed minor adjustments, but has always pulled to the right. They keep assuring me that it's not the alignment that is causing it, and it's the tires or...
Ya, I'd be down for some trails (if time and money permit). I just wish there was something closer to Rochester. I actually just came back from Duluth this afternoon! All the road construction on I-35 made it a dreadfully long trip!
Many have made 20" wheels work on a KJ. I don't see any fender trimming either. I don't like the looks of wheels that big on a KJ, and I know it would suck off-road, but it can be done...
They are from an older TJ. The style is called "Gambler". I liked the look of them, but they started to corrode and required spacers to fit on a KJ. I still have them with the tires show in the pic, spacers, and have TPMS sensors installed for an 04. I'd sell them for a fair price, if...
I have a brand new bumper cover for my 04 Renegade. It's bare black plastic, and has not been painted. The previous owner of my Jeep put a couple dings in the bumper. He bought the new cover and didn't have time to replace it. Now 4 years later, I still haven't replaced it either! Make me a...
He is comparing 16" and 17" tires. Your 2nd calculation should be for 235/65/17, which is 29" tall and 9.3" wide. Only 1/2" difference between his 2 tires, but still not recommended.
Not sure if I fully understand what you are trying to do:
1) If you are trying to put the 245 70 r16 tire on your existing 17" wheels, it won't fit on the wheel because of the different diameter.
2) If you have a 16" wheel with 5x4.5 bolt pattern for the 245 70 r16 tire, it will fit on the...
It seems to me that the best wheel offset for your bearings would be 0, so the wheel is perfectly centered with the hub. The more the wheel is pushed out OR in, the more torque is applied to the bearings.
4.5" backspace for 8" wide wheel
or 4" backspace for 7" wide wheel.
If a stock 7"...
