Yea for the money and the headaches the extra .5" really isn't worth it. But with the troubles I've had with mine now in hindsight I wish I had just bought the coil overs in the first place. Could have just turned it up to the max of the cv's and then down the road if I wanted that extra height...
I can tell you the KJ's all had the 8.25 rear end so anything built for those should work. But I have no experience with lockers on them so maybe wait for one of the more experienced guys to chime in on that
05 was the last year to get LSD. After that they started using traction control instead of LSD. so you are correct.
Pretty awesome you had a sportage. I had a 2000 myself that I was planning to lift until someone totaled it and that led to me buying my KJ.
Congrats on your purchase.
Oh ya...
Just measured the rear. both sides sit at 22" even.
the preload on the control arms was reset when I installed the lift. so their setting right now is already for a lifted jeep not a stock one. I can try re-setting again but i dont think they would be that far off to pull it down half an inch.
ah ok. on my volvo they are connected. and the slave cylinder is inside the clutch. so when the slave goes bad brake fluid pours all over the clutch and cooks that too.
I noticed just with my 245/75-16 on a steel wheel the door creaks and moans a lot now while I'm driving around. The door operates fine when stopped but going over bumps and whatnot it makes a lot more noise than it used to.
Ok thanks guys. I will do my research as well, I've just been busy this week. Bought a little trailer and been using it and buttoning up a few small details on it so haven't had time for much else. Just wanted to hear from anyone who has had experience with this issue.
I'm kinda wondering if...
They still ship! If you live close by they let you pick it up but they will still ship to your door! Still worth every penny too. Plus the Cordura are made in the USA so you're supporting US and Canadian companies.
check out shear comfort. they have an office right in Vancouver where you can pick them up and they are very durable. I work in construction and all the sand and dirt and grit that gets stuck to me can wear things out fast. ive had these covers on my front seats on for a year and im very happy...
