I looked through the threads and haven’t ran across anything conclusive enough for me. My water pump is shot so I need to replace it. I’ve noticed metal impellers and plastic impellers, which is correct?
Ok when I got my Liberty recently I didn’t have a way to get it up to 5th gear on a test drive. I just took it for a quick run up to highway speed and it wouldn’t go into 5th. There’s no grinding noise. I’m thinking I’ll have to drop the transmission and replace 5th.
I should have checked before buying, but went to do oil change and noticed the front driveshaft is nowhere in sight. My Liberty is a 5spd manual, I know of a couple other Liberty’s being parted out but they’re auto trans. Will the front driveshaft from and automatic fit a manual transmission?
I’m surprised you didn’t vomit from the Pepsi. I much prefer coke.
Anyways…
just for ***** and giggles I was reading about engine swaps. This Liberty has a 5spd manual transmission. Would I need to change the transmission if I were to swap in a 4.7 v8?
I got a truck for off-roading. The Liberty will be a family vehicle, I’ll likely leave the ride height alone. I want it easier for kids to get in and out of, that’s why I’m thinking about lowering it.
I’m picking up an 03 Liberty Sport 3.7 4wd in a couple days. Most people talk about lifting their Liberty, I’m more interested in possibly lowering mine.
