Resistance is now LIFTED (plus new MAN tires:)!!!

I had asked the dealer at 4wd.com if they sent me the wrong rear springs and the spring looking shifted. Here's the reply he sent today:

Resistance is now LIFTED (plus new MAN tires:)!!!

Dear friends, thank you for for your effort and help. Unfortunately, mechanics here(who claim to be experienced on Chrysler Jeep), do not have as much theoric knowledge about lift kits EVEN as me.. Despite this fact, they love to charge people shocking amonts, as well as doing a 2 hrs work in 2...

Resistance is now LIFTED (plus new MAN tires:)!!!

Ok, I got my right front tire on a concrete block and took some photos. First, this was what the vehicle looked like at full flex: And these are the rear springs, left fully compressed and right flexed. Does the left coil view represent spring binding or full compression?

Resistance is now LIFTED (plus new MAN tires:)!!!

UPDATE: Skyjacker and Rusty has these rear coil springs for Jeep Liberty, which exactly look like mine: So it seems these are the right rear coils, just a different type. http://www.car-stuff.com/carparts/jeepliberty20022006skyjackers97lib25r607064.html...

Resistance is now LIFTED (plus new MAN tires:)!!!

I'll contact the dealer immediately. Are you sure, isn't there any possibility of being a different kind of rear spring??

Resistance is now LIFTED (plus new MAN tires:)!!!

I can not get a clear view of the coil and the bumpstops, so I honestly don't know. I only have the picture below, taken while putting the new tires on. The problem is, I guess the whole thing needs to be taken apart again to correct the rear coil position and shorten the mallets. Given the...

Resistance is now LIFTED (plus new MAN tires:)!!!

The long and upside down mallets and the weird rear coil position.. Will they do any harm??

Resistance is now LIFTED (plus new MAN tires:)!!!

Tony, I had to work and I couldn't open the boxes, see the parts and witness the installation process. Rear shocks are the ones included in the 2" BDS lift kit. If they were too short, then how could they call this a ready made "kit" And the coil ends don't look like the same...

Resistance is now LIFTED (plus new MAN tires:)!!!

Thank you again for all your help and compliments:) As I've said, I could have NEVER done it without your help. Springs, shocks, bumpstops, clevis, tires, none of them.. I didn't have a chance to watch the installation (as I'm always working), I saw it when the wheel was taken off, it looked...

Resistance is now LIFTED (plus new MAN tires:)!!!

Yes it's finally done.. Had a very hard time finding an international dealer, importing the kit, retrieving at the customs, installation, etc.. But it's over now and I'm deadly tired:) Thanks to Murphyman, Mrneen, Tommudd, Boiler, TBJ, Tony and all the people from Jeepkj and Lostjeeps, who...

    New tire selection?

Sure TBJ, with pleasure:) And those pics will not only show the man tires, but also my hardly earned BDS lift;)

    New tire selection?

Thank you for the feedback. Well.. Couldn't find anybody selling Goodyear MTR's around here but according to the price list, they are way too expensive, around $350 each. Actually I feel encouraged by your explanations about M/T's! If I'm going to be safe with them even on the dry/wet...

    New tire selection?

Well, I'd love to, really, I know seeing them on my lifted Renny will make me happy:) All I'm worried about is -as I've said- poor performance on pavement. Wet pavement traction, stopping distance, loud noise, etc. This makes me confused.

    New tire selection?

But STT's are mud tires. I like them but I have only 20% of my time off road. How would they perform on dry/wet pavement? Stopping distance, noise, etc?(dunno) TBJ, I do about 14.000 KM per year. You say you agree with STT's?

    New tire selection?

Actually I'd like to buy Goodyear Duratracs, but I've done a search and they are not available here, and if the vendor provides them, the price is $340 each:( Other than Cooper and BFG, we have Pirelli, Toyo, Kumho, Marshal, Nankang etc. here. To be honest, I don't like the appearance of...

What about Cooper ST/C? (For 80% pavement 20% off road, remember:)

    New tire selection?

Cooper STT's are not All Terrain tires, they are mud terrain, aren't they?

    New tire selection?

Thank you for the info. Didn't know shoulders had so little effect. But please just have a look at the shoulders of above images 2 and 3. Shouldn't 3 provide more grip while going over heaps of dry earth+rocks+dirt etc. mixed terrain?

    New tire selection?

Yes TBJ, I know. The ST is an A/T. But the STT is said to be a good mix between an A/T and M/T. (So say the reviews) BTW, ST shoulders seemed a little weak to provide powerful grip, just like BFG A/T's. I maybe mistaken though.

    New tire selection?

Well, during my own research, I always thought WHAT I needed was the rubber between an A/T and an M/T. I finally got to the same results, which was hard to decide: 1)Goodyear Duratracs: 2)Cooper Discoverer S/T: 3)Cooper Discoverer STT: 4)Cooper Discoverer S/T C: The STT is...
