Photo of the inside of a 231 t-case I worked on today

I was working on a 2006 KJ Renegade today with 19,000 miles on it. They had a pretty serious leak between the case halves of the t-case. I took this pic at the midway point of the job. I had separated the t-case halves and cleaned all the silicone off of the sealing surfaces. I decided to try...

WTS- 1 month old Mopar KK step bars, black $300 shipped

I purchased and installed some black powdercoated Mopar step bars about a month ago. They are in 100% perfect condition. No dings, scratches, marks, nothing. I decided that I would rather have rock rails, so I decided to sell these. I paid $424 + tax for them, for a total of around $450. I am...

    power window issue

What year is yours? Probably a rear window regulator failure. From what I have seen, and I have replaced literally hundreds of window regulators on KJs, is that there is a plastic flex cable, and inside the cable is a coiled piece of metal. It looks sort of like a spring. I know, a sh****...

    Rhino Liner

If you are trying to do chrome rims, I doubt the Rhino lining would stick. The surface has to be roughed up so that the liner has something to adhere to. A better bet for your rims would be powder coating them. Powder coat is inexpensive, durable, will not throw your wheels out of balance, and...

OK ..so I am getting ready to change diff fluids.

I run Mopar 75w140 synthetic front and rear with JB diff additive. Works great for me. No kidding. I see vehicles all the time at work that are severely neglected maintenance wise. I can't believe people pay $20,000-$50,000 for a vehicle and let it go to ***t. Then they ***** that their car...

    Airbag module

Well being that the vehicle was involved in a wreck, it could be an issue with damaged wiring. The most common cause of fuel gauge issues is that the fuel level sender gets worn out. Hard to say though.

    Front Driveshaft Removal

The only tip I would offer is once you get the bolts out of both the front and rear, pull the rear part of the driveline forward, push it up over the yoke on the t-case, then pull the front out. I have done several of these, and if you try to pull the front of the driveline out first, it is...

    Airbag module

That's kind of what I was thinking too.

    Airbag module

I don't know. I have never heard of that. Give it a try. The ad they have is correct. We at the dealership do not have the ability to reset modules after airbag deployment.

    08 liberty door speaker help

I bought the Mopar upgraded Kicker speakers from their accessory catalog. It was around $225 for 4 door speakers and 2 tweeters. They sound great. They just plugged right in and bolted right up. Very easy to install.

    KK Wipers

I work at a dealership, so I would buy the Mopar value line wipers. They are around $13 each. I quickly learned that they are junk. They wear out and start chattering and streaking in 5-6 months. We are also a Ford dealer, so I tried some of their premium wiper blades, and they are awesome...

*DING!* Oil change!! *DING!* Oil change!!

Yep. I use the 5w20 just because of the lifetime powertrain warranty. I don't want to give Chrysler any reason to void it. 5w30 is just fine and won't hurt a thing. It is lifted and modified, but I do all of my own warranty work on my KK anyways, so anything is warranty with a stroke of my...

*DING!* Oil change!! *DING!* Oil change!!

The owner's manual states to use 5w20 for all temperature ranges. All of the new Chrysler stuff runs 5w20, with the exception of most of the SRT lineup, which runs 0w40 synthetic, the 3.5L uses 10w30, and diesels run 15w40. 5w20 replaced 5w30.

oil light comes on when cold

Just out of curiosity, what weight oil are you using? The oil pressure sender is a simple circuit. There is no memory in the PCM or BCM that resets or anything like that. Basically, the sender is a switch. Oil pressure closes the switch and completes the circuit. Lack of oil pressure keeps...
