Dead Radio
If your keyless entry and interior lights still work, but the radio doesn't, chances are the radio failed. They are all tied into the IOD fuse.- Idaho08KK

Burping Gas
I have done quite a few of these at work on Nitros, Libertys, and Ram trucks. There is an issue with the vent that is part of the fill neck on the tank. We perform the repairs under the TSB. A new tank is really all that you can do at this point to fix the problem, which sucks.- Idaho08KK

I have Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's on my 08 and have been absolutely happy with them. They get great traction in mud, snow, loose dirt, and on rocks. What I really like is that mud doesn't stick or build up in the tread.- Idaho08KK

Nitro Detonator 4.0 in KK?

Ignition coil /injector #'s
On the 3.7L engine, the driver's side head is bank one, the passenger side head is bank two. Bank one consists of cylinders 1, 3, and 5(front to back). Bank two is cylinders 2, 4, and 6. Hope this answers your question.- Idaho08KK

The only thing you can do is buy a dipstick from Chrysler and have access to a scan tool, or go to the dealership. I agree. I don't really follow the maintenance manuals anyways. I always change out the trans fluid and filter every 3 years or 30K miles. I would never leave trans fluid in a...- Idaho08KK

They actually explained their logic with this in a Chrysler class I attended in regards to 4WD systems. Every new 4WD product, with exception of the JK, has electronic shift. Chrysler stated that if you give people a lever to pull, somebody will inevitably pull it at the wrong time and break...- Idaho08KK

The fluid now has to be checked using the WiTech and a universal dipstick, with measurement increments in millimeters. Based on the temperature of the trans fluid, it should be X-amount of millimeters. They did this for many reasons, as stated above. To keep people out. The 42RLE is a lifetime...- Idaho08KK

No problem. It could be a solenoid issue, worn clutches, input speed sensor, etc. When I looked through the diagnostics for this DTC on the Chrysler website, there is a ton of tests to run.- Idaho08KK

I must be the only one that likes the KK over the KJ. :D I think that the interior in the KK is very comfortable. I'm not saying that it's better than the KJ's, but it's just as comfortable. Tranny issues....?
My trans was doing the same thing when my 08 was new. Everytime it sat overnight, I would start it up, let it idle for 10-20 seconds, and then start driving. The first 1-2 shift was very harsh. After that, the rest of the trip, no other hard shifts. I called the Chrysler engineers for advice...- Idaho08KK

$34,000 for a KK?
I bought my 08 KK in 2009. It had been on the lot for a year. Sticker was $26,500. I got it for $18,500. I wouldn't pay $34K for a Liberty. I would get a XK(Commander) with a Hemi for that kinda cash.:D- Idaho08KK
