    RB1 Nav. radio review

You got 6 out of the 7 screws. You need to remove both 'A' pillar trims, then snap off the front dash panel (long skinny one next to winshield). That will get you access to all three screws on top. Will try to post some pictures this weekend.

    RB1 Nav. radio review

Just upgraded my RAZ (am-fm CD Cassette) to a RB1 navigation unit. It was an easy swap. Even the antenna wasn't too bad to install (will post some pic's later in the how-to section). The RB1 is really a pretty amazing piece of equipment. It will take you just about anywhere by map (lots of...

    Air Pressure for best performance?

All pressure gauges don't register the same. Mine seems to read about 2 - 3 psi. lower than than most shop gauges. I say, when in doubt, go a little higher -- it'll become lower soon enough!

    TPMS emitters

TPMS John, There have been some changes in the '05. I believe there is a "basic" system which doesn't actually tell the tire pressure -- just whether it's within a predetermined range. The other is the "delux" system which, like all previous systems, actually reports the individual tire...

    Liberty repair manual

service manual There seem to be a couple of versions. I have a "dealer" version, which has service and parts. I also bought a "private" version for one of my kids for Christmas. It requires a password and is only a service manual. Both are originals, both came from e-bay, both were...

    Feeling Better

too cold Brr! (mud) I felt sorry for you guys, so I got mine out and hand washed it in honor of you all. It's a little chilly here in San Diego too though-- not even 70 degrees, I almost didn't wear swimming trunks! The Liberty looks so shiny I had to put sun glasses on to look at it...

    TPMS emitters

TPMS Mine is set up for four. That suits me fine since I won't have the expense of purchasing, mounting and paying the dealer for the change. Thanks for the suggestion though. I'm pretty dilligent about keeping my tires aired, so there is no doubt that the spare will be servicable if...

    Air Pressure for best performance?

optimal tire pressure Want to find the best (not underinflated or overinflated) Pressure? At that point the contact patch and tire wear is best. Get a stick of chalk. Go to an empty flat, level parking lot. Put a chalk mark across the tread of each of your tires. roll the vehicle a few...

I'm looking for a set of 4 emitters for the Tire Pressure Monitoring System. I have the EVIC but no tire pressure to send!

    performance parts

Re: dyno pull on liberty I would be interested in the same thing -- something in the 1800 - 2500 range. If you find out something, please post it!

    The Little Things

Love the position of the (manual) stick. It's a little further away, somehow adds a spaciousness dimension. Very comfortable. Like the crisp sound of the Liberty acceleratiing.

    Need some expert input

Columbia edition The 04 Columbia edition package had some nice features at an attractive package price, including 3.7 engine, sun roof, tinted glass, fog lamps, Renegade wheels/tires, cruise control, leather steering wheel, specific paint combo/interior details, and command track on 4wd models...

    tire covers

tire cover I wrote the last 6 digits of the vin # on the bottom rear surface of the tire cover with a coarse Sharpie permanent ink pen. It seems to deter theft so far. I've been using this system on all my tire covers for the last 15 years. If someone steals your cover, they're not going to...

Bad News-Checked My Rear Axle Sticker Today

Limited slip I found one on e-bay; had it installed locally (04 Liberty). Total cost was about $100 for part and $250 for install. Works great for my purposes. Some think the LS requires a different differential, but that does not seem to be the case.

    Beautifying the Beast

Here are some products and tips that work pretty well in the exterior cosmetic department: Polish: I never met a wax I didn't like, but saw an excellent comparison recommending "Zymol Natural" liquid. ( http://www.nsxsc.com/nsexcitement/waxtest.html ) I tried some and agree. It gives an...

    overhead console

You will have to make up and run your own wiring harness. If you buy an overhead console, make sure it has a connector (for the module) included along with a short pigtail that you can wire to. You do have wiring in place for the lights, however (separate connector).

    Libby Transmission

2WD w/LS, 235/70-16 SR-A's. 20.1 MPG over the past 10,000 miles, mixed city/hwy; lots of hills. I coast down lots of those hills though to come up with that mileage (can't do that in an auto though, but some wouldn't want to do it anyway)! By the way, it's a nice shifting tranny -- not too...

How often do you add air?

Tire pressure Tire pressure changes with temperature. Also, different rubber compounds lose air naturally at different rates. I have three different vehicles with three different tire styles. Although they don't all air down at the same rate, they all need to be aired about 4 to 6 times...
