Engine Swap
From what to OP said he has the 3.8 engine and transmission out of a wrangler cause he swapped a 5.7 in to it (BTW pretty cool) I'm not sure what all he has for it far as harness and pcm. No. Sorry. 3.8 (60 degree V6) is totally different from the 3.7 (90 degree V6) Even if it weren't the reluctors in the motor would be too different for the 2002 PCM. A/C problem
Simple answer is it probably low ac freon, but if it's low it's leaking. To sort it out right, or just begin to sort it you need to get an idea of if it's got any freon. Qs about a dealer's problem list: 2004 Liberty
Sounds like bearing noise. Possibly front drive shaft, usually bearing noise is most common. Radiator leak worries me because these 3.7 liberties are very susceptible to over heating and blowing the head gasket, all modern aluminum head engines are. What happens if the oxygen sensor that failed is disconnected and it is tried to start? Not suggesting doing it asking if this could be a way to test . Which o2 sensor is the code for? If it's upstream (before catalytic converters) they control the fuel mixture and maybe a few other things I'm not thinking about, down stream is for monitoring the how well the catalytic converters are doing their job. Should be. I'd look at rock auto for the complete line and replace it as a set. Alternatively you can cut out the leaking hose, back to metal line then buy a transmission line hose and some clamps. 07 motor in 05 kj
You should be fine, I think sometime 2004 the computers changed, 2005-12 should work no problem . I put a 2012 motor in a 06 commander. A few small things needed swapping like temp sender and cam position sensor. Oil and crank sensors were the same. Timing cover, valve covers, are the same too...- Conundrum2006

Lift points for 3.7 engines
On the 3.7 the recommended lift point is where the intake bolts, mopar has a lift plate specific for it. The cylinder head where the intake bolts looks a little flimsy to me, but there should be a way to rig a mounting point with out the mopar plate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro- Conundrum2006

Does the CEL come on with the first turn of the key? That should indicate if it's working or not. I don't think jeeps do this but some cars can turn off the CEL if the issue goes away. Hyundai does this. I wonder if they erased the codes on accident trying to read them. Might have done it to...- Conundrum2006

Idle/Throttle Issues
If there is a problem then TPS is more likely because it feeds information into the PCM. Which should affect how it shifts. There should be a procedure for testing it. I also may be wrong on how the TPS affects shifting in the newer libertys on the old Cherokee it would cause a lot of problems...- Conundrum2006

No. Everything else is connected to the RPM, well the transmission could vary in theory but I'd throw my guess in with a electric motor or vacuum leak. Although the vacuum leak wouldn't just quit.
