I agree the OTC tend to be better quality. All the OTC stuff I have is pretty decent and takes the abuse. sudden transmission issue
Ok. IMO That is better than the commanders and GC. Even the down shift up shift in those jeeps can go bad causing the transmission to get stuck in gear like Limp Home mode. Restarting usually reset its. Anyway I Never liked it when jeep used vacuum or electric switches to engage 4 wheel drive...- Conundrum2006

What a weird transmission problem. Never head of anything like it. My first though it fluid is too low, but it should slosh around any direction so turning shouldn’t be an issue. Low side AC pressure very high
What kind of gauge were you getting a reading with, how high was high, and was the compressor running when it read too high. The factory 3.7 is a 90 degree engine and the 3.6 is 60, so it’s not a simple swap. It’d require a 3.6 drivetrain, harnesses and pcm to be done. I’m sure someone knows how to make it happen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro- Conundrum2006

Oh, that’s good then. I haven’t this job yet on anything newer in the jeep world. Looking at the video They put the upper control arm bolts on the inside of the engine bay, that’s gotta suck to access. What special tools will they need? Edit: this may be a good thread. For the old XJ, and other jeeps with the solid dana 30 front axel the special tool was OTC 7894 or an equivalent. It also required a huge c-clamp to press it out and in. On the old Cherokee it was the only way to get it done for me others tell me the dropped theirs out with a BFH no problem...- Conundrum2006

Far as I know the 3.7 only has one oil sender/sensor. I use the term interchangeably because some parts companies list it either way. But there probably is a proper definition I'm not using. Good news is no engine noise! I doubt if the pressure is really too low, be good to test it anyway...- Conundrum2006

Are you sure the temperature is correct? My guess would be faulty wiring, maybe wiring is moved as the intake is connected . I'm not sure what the intake could be taking in to hit 300 degrees. Here is a link for someone trouble shooting a 4.0 wrangler but it should be the same in principal...- Conundrum2006

Valve question
Lots of 3.7 & 4.7 have idle issues, they like a very low idle something like 550 rpm. It often dips from there closer to 450-500 where it'll surge back to above 550 then settle down. Plenty of Commander and liberty owners trying to find why it'll sometimes stall at idle. For that problem...- Conundrum2006

Pretty much. Those plugs are only good for maybe 30k. Could be your problem. did they do a compression test for you? If they did the plugs would have been removed and easy to pull now Be sure to get the mopar equivalent spark plugs (I've forgotten the part #) , these engines seem to work best...- Conundrum2006
