Disconnect front sway bar links off road?

I did install JKS quick disconnects for a JK, but the pins that stay on the vehicle interfere with the steering knuckle at full lock. So I reverted back to the stock sway links. I remove the stock links when going off road on tougher trails. It only takes 5-10 min to do on flat ground before and...

    Trip planning- emergency spare parts-

Given my low post count, I cannot PM @LabRat or reply to your thread in the "Wanted" section. Here are some center caps from eBay, these are the ones that use the lug nuts to hold in place (I prefer these) instead of screws from the backside. eBay Center Caps

Looking for suggestions: vehicle mounted air compressor

I mounted a Viair 380C air compressor in the rear window area. It mounted on a plate mounted to the unibody. Mounted underneath the plate is the pressure switch and pressure regulator. I chose the 380C for it 100% duty rating and 200 psi rating. It is not super fast, but it works great.

    Arb bumper 2002-2004 vs 2005-2007

You will need grill, radiator support, fenders, fender flares to start with. Making the fender flares from 02-04 do not work with 05-07 rocker trim.

    Trip planning- emergency spare parts-

I would also recommend an Ignition Switch Actuator Pin. They can go bad without warning, but when you do, they leave you stranded. They take up very little space. I believe you need a T-10 security torx to replace it. There are a few videos on how to replace them. Along with oil(s) as Tom...

OH dear did it this time

I had a set of General Grabber A2s on my Subaru Forester, and they did fantastic in the snow. After they were installed, I found a snowy parking lot to do donuts in, but they had too much traction.

What is the best option out there for mechanical fan clutches?

I used to have a CRD before my 3.7. The Hayden fan clutch and stock CRD 5 blade metal fan fit on a 3.7 with the towing package fan shroud.

I know when my Eaton TrueTrac installed, the shop had to replace the ring and pinion as well because of larger bolts to hold the ring gear to the carrier.

DTT is Detroit TrueTrac limited slip differential. https://www.eaton.com/us/en-us/catalog/differentials/eaton-detroit-truetrac-differential.html I have them installed and have been very happy with the performance. If you do have one wheel in the air, lightly holding the brake while...

steering rack cradle bolt top of bushing worn

As long as your bolted joint stays tight there is no significant issue. Even if all the rubber on the top of the steering rack is gone, the worse you will have is a rattle/knock from the rack moving slightly. If you can remove the bolt, and put some sort of “rubber washer” item in there, it...
