Biodiesel on a 2.8 crd KJ

Check with DC in your area, but here in the US we are only allowed 5% biodiesl because although they have specs for 20% they haven't implemented them very well. DC is waiting for some consistency in the product before they will authorize it.

Looking for Best size wheel for CRD with 2.5 lift

Only you would know if it looks better, it sure opens up your tire choices and they are usually a little cheaper also. The rigs with rear disks don't do well with most 15 inch wheels, especially the non-steel models. Rock Krawlers, Soft 8, and other D notch wheels seem to do best. Stock Jeep...

    BIG, wanna go BIG

The people using 265/75X16s have had problems at full stuff, some are on their 3rd set of flares, knocking them off at full flex. You'll probably have to remove your inner fender plastic and do some carving, also you'll have beat down your pinchwelds. Lifting brings the front of the rear wheels...

Looking for Best size wheel for CRD with 2.5 lift

Going up in size will lose you a little power and mileage. 245/70s don't seem to hurt mileage or power much, but the 245/75X16 will cost you about 6% in power and 1.5 to 2 mpg in fuel mileage. You'll lose some mpg (about 1 mpg) lifting the rig.

    Rock Krawler

Like I said Al has wheeled to part hard with no problems, if you give him a call you may get some inside scoop. Can't remember which year you have, but Al told me they work better on mid '03 and newer rigs because of a change Jeep did. I have the CRD and my front end is dropped lower than the...

    245/70SR16 Revo's

Have to lift all Libs to run 245/75s. Have to massage the plastic and sheetmetal some also probably. Prelowered just isn't that much difference. All Libs are the same after a lift.

    Rock Krawler

Go to www.jeepinbyal.com, he has used the kit to get him past some design problems in his 5+ inch lift he is developing. He likes them/wheeled them alot and sells them for cheaper than I've seen at other places.

New Frankenlift, Found Wheels I Like

I'd listen to the dealer. I've never seen anyone put that wide a wheel on the Liberty. The BS is one inch further out than the stock so you'll be more likely to hit the fenders and pinchweld while turning, but less likely to hit suspension parts at full lock. Haven't mentioned if you're going to...

    Rock Krawler 15's

31s don't fit a stock jeep biggest you can run is around the equivent of a 245/70 X 16. Some work in the frone and a 2 1/2 inch lift will clear them.

    Proper Wheel Backspace

As clse to 5 inches as you can get. Stock is 5 1/2 inches, but than you have a lot of interior rubbing. The 10.50 width is also part of the problem, it's pusshing the limits of space. You'll have to trim the front some and bend over the rear tab in the front.

    skyjacker kit

The Skyjacker kits aren't a bad lift, not the best, but a good value for the money. The bad lifts are the OTT spacer lifts.

Fog lights with high beams on????

When you do the install put a relay in the system and run pwer through a fuse to the battery. That way your only using a slight bit more power to activate the relay and pulling the power from a different source with the correct wiring size for the additional current draw. Most aftermarket lights...

    Online retailer for Cooper tires?

Why would you want to buy your tires online? Where you going to go if you have a problem? Once you buy the tire/wheels, ship them, mount them, etc. where have you saved anything? What if you have a fitment problem, tires hitting the fenders, etc. I just wouldn't do it, especially if your going...

    best wheels and tires?

You forgot to add the info that would get you some opinions, ie: wheelin', mallrat, Friday/Saturday cruisin', etc. If you play in the mud or rocks you would want different tires/wheels than if you lowriding, right?

    liberty body lift

Higher lifts may or may not ruin your ball joints as not all Libs are the same, for instance the CRDs look like they have a cradle drop like Jeger discribed to shoehorn the diesel in height wise. Looking at the fornt diff and how it's situated compared to a gasser and you see it right off. Big...

    liberty body lift

You must not of put the lift on yourself, or you would have noticed the unibody construction like the Cherokees, can't body lift without a frame/body construction like the trucks and the Wrangler.

COLD AIR INTAKE & Fuel Saver

None of K&N's claims can be produced, when asked about it they said check the fine print. Supposedly they claim "up to" 8.5 HP. So as noted before it could be zero, or anything to 8.5 hp. They just have to claim the rig they put it on got that, different rigs could get different results. Notice...

    KJ Bobtail

Looks to me like our KJ are pretty close to that way already. If you look at the rear wheel to bumper distance and not the rooflines that are way different, it doesn't look like anything more than a Rock Liz rear bumper is needed to get the same thing.

    Used CRD or new V6?

Not all people are having problems, I'm betting it's less than 1 percent by a considerable amount. People just don't come on to forums and say how much they love their trouble free CRDs. They climb all over all the sites if they think they've been done dirt, just like the general population on...
