    The 6000 pounds is the hitch towing rate, not the recovery capacity of the hitch. They are not the same thing, they over engineer the hitch for trailer towing rate to ensure they will pass stringent, expensive certifications.

    8 inch wheels need at least a 245 to protect them. If you want Rubis on a unlifted rig you're better off with 245/70s.

    CJs are nowhere near the same, off sets are even worse. Jeep Wranglers are the same bolt pattern. So are 93-98 Grand Cherokees. Dodge Avengers and Stealths though you'd have to check offsets, Ford Explorer or Sport Trac with same checks.

    I wouldn't use a recycled cat, they are only good for 80,000+ miles or so. There are other sources of cats other than the dealer. You just need a 2 1/2 inch high flow cat to replace what you have.
