Whats better, clevis or strut spacer?

Neither will compensate for sagging or a heavy bumper. You're just changing the height of the problem, they both simply give additional lift, nothing more.

Whats better, clevis or strut spacer?

Strut plates are on top the strut, clevis lift on the bottom between the strut and the fork/clevis that the CVs run through.

    Shopping for a KJ....

Selec-Trac is available on the Limited and Sport, usually comes with it. The Renegades are Command-Trac only I believe. The diff is that the Selec-Trac has fulltime 4WD like the Subarus, etc where you can run in 4WD on asphalt. Nice feature on bad weather or ice/snow/bare asphalt intermittent...

If you've put 235/75R16 on a stock KJ...

I'm running 245/70s with no rubbing. With the weight of our rigs the 245s aren't to wide to dig down well. As you said there are few reasons to going to a wide tire in the real world. Look at the tires used on the Camel Trophy rigs and expedition rigs which have to do well, dependably, on all...

    RRO Combo Kit - Shocks?

If this lift is not what you really want than it's false economy to buy it. Save your money till you can get what you want. The Daystar lift for example is superior, the Revtec lift also is a good one. The lift requires longer shocks in the back, or you'll top out the shocks. Any replacement...

5 AT Tires Which to Choose?

We have 7 Libertys in the parking lot at work. 2 have BFG AT KOs, they hum a bit, and they lost the most MPG when they changed from the stock tires, 1 to 2 MPG. The 2 Revos and 1 Vatiiva rig saw no noticeable difference in MPG or noise, huge differences in traction with any aftermarket tire...

    Performance Enhancer

Atrus is correct, if you dyno an engine with various grade of gas the regular will give more horsepower. The premium cools the burn and extends it not giving the transfer of BTUs to power that regular does. That said if your engine requires a better grade of gas because of higher compression or...

    Rock Rails....

Another vote for the RLs although the BBs are a fine product. As said before, one of the smartest things you can do for your rig if you want any chance of keeping it nicer looking.

    32" TSLs

If you buy wheels with 4.5 to 5 inches of backspacing it should be ok, you'll have to do the normal front mods, but you'll have to watch the front end of your rear flares during stuffing and add bumpstop as necessary to keep the flares on as the lift pulls the rear axle closer to the flare.

    CRD Front End Lift Issues?

Did it myself. Not hard if you mecanically inclined and have the tools that any home mechanic would have. The Frankenlift is nice because as I said all the parts are preassmbled and correctly aligned. You can save a little maybe by assembling in the local shop, but if it's not right you have to...

    Lock front or rear

Any off road rig should have the strongest axle locked first, otherwise your just asking for disaster with the lightest duty, but heaviest loaded axle doing the work. Weight bias, etc. loads the front axle just sitting in one spot, let alone wheelin'.

    Is the KJ for me?

The CRDs have more sound dampening in them because they wanted the quiet little diesel to be as quiet as they could get it. This helped me with the tires when I upgraded, my rig is quieter than the gassers at work with the same tire.

    CRD Front End Lift Issues?

The Frankenlift is an CRD OME spring lift with spacers and front strut bumpstops essentially. You can also go with jeepinbyal upper control arms (more spring/upper control arm clearance and gets your front alignment closer to stock) that have Moog greasable ball joints and the replacement Moog...

    2002 Skidplate Install

No real need, 3 holes line up and I believe the driver's side rear hole needs to be moved a little or a new hole drilled in the support, either are simple to see once you put the skid up. The aftermarket skids come either way.

    Rockfather II vs Frankenlift

Frankenlift is fully assembled and comes with Ranchos or OME custom length rear shocks. The quality of the components, a front bumpstop on the struts that helps save the upper control arm and the assembled front struts is the major difference.

I need new tires for my 02 stock KJ

    Nokian Vatiivas in 245/70 also.

    lift question

You can do what you want, but it seems like false economy to not put what you want to run for the duration under the rig the first time. It's a waste of money and time. The lift heights, everything is the same so you're not saving any components by going with the spacer lift. The Rusty's shocks...

    Seats?

No problem with my '05 cloth seats, they are firm. I've been a dirt bike racer for years so maybe my monkey butt resistant posterior isn't the best gauge. My wife at 5 ft 2 in\125 lbs has never mentioned the seats as being uncomfortable though.

    Need a winch bumper

The Rock Liz bumper is proto still because you need two bumpers to match both design front ends, already people are asking for options up front also. The rears are all the same and therefore closer to production, here the rear tire/fuel carriers that are options are being protoed the rear itself...

    air tank

I was thinking about pressure testing my sliders and using them as a tank for small stuff. Not sure if it's a viable option till I mess with it though.
