Cheap import HID bulb kits are becoming more common here in South Africa too. I often get blinded by some d1ck who thinks his bluish super-bright headlights are the coolest thing ever. I can't wait til my LED spots are built, so I can in them back.
I found a site recently dedicated to proper...
Not sure if this link will be accessible, but give it a try.

Thanks Ryan.
And I hope to make it back to Vancouver one day :) Love it there.
The LEDs I ordered for the spot lights disappeared while my wife was doing a clear-out. GRRR. had to order ANOTHER $100 worth. :favorites68:
Gonna be 6x10W LEDs each side now, for a total of around 12000...
Yeah it was an awesome few days of some serious wheeling and some clowning around.
A lift is definitely in order though - scraped a LOT. The Renne's skid plates worked hard... Got an EFS system on order, which should be here soon
Got a lot more video, but haven't had time to edit it yet. Here's clip that didn't really need any editing...

Serendipity
Went up to Limpopo province in December to a place called Serendipity Eco Trails.
In a word: AWESOME :)
Wide variety of terrain, from river crossings to mud to rocks. climbs... descents...
enough blabbing - here are some pics:
Still relatively clean:
ABS fuse unplugged to shut...
I saw a definite benefit to the ESP here:
My mate who took this photo is a Land Rover 4x4 trainer and he poked his head inside my cab looking for my locker switch :smokin:
