Front ball joint replacement
I took the first set of replacement joints out of mine and replaced them with MOOG's. The originals seated below the mounting surface they went into, thus allowing water to just sit against the joint. I know where there's one for $600, just up the road but with the amount of rust it's got ALL over it, I'd say it's already reached that cost-prohibitive point. 4" lift kit
Some days I love my job. :D I run a CNC lathe. However, it's gonna be a long while before I can even consider either of Al's new lifts. I might do a 6" but it wouldn't be til after I've paid off my KJ and have something else for a DD.- K Dje Ryu

tire size/height question
I think I may be the only person who ever ran them but I swapped out my stock HPs for General Prospector SUVs (Limited 17" wheels so Limited tire options). That was before I had a lift. Engine code......light on
I think you meant KK there. The wires to bank 1 sensor 2 got knocked out of the clip that's supposed to hold them away from the exhaust on my KJ and I was getting high and low voltage error codes for it. Make sure you don't back up into anything with your jeep
probably wouldn't be too hard to make one that did stick out far enough. Looks like it just resides in the hitch. Not sure how they keep it in place for towing but allowing it to move forward to absorb impact shouldn't be too hard. Finding a strong enough spring, small enough to get around...- K Dje Ryu

Tire Load Rating
MT/Rs are too stiff for off-road? :D My last two sets of tires have been E rated. Off-road they're great. More plies means less chance of a sidewall cut or a bead breaking on the rocks. They're pretty rough riding on-road but, I don't mind that.- K Dje Ryu

yeah, Al's UCAs are a good idea. Not only do they help with alignment but, they're greaseable and have a stronger ball joint. That's just one mod that I still need to do. I think I knocked my alignment off recently, too. Jeep seems to be pulling to the left all of a sudden.- K Dje Ryu
